I recently got a Blade SR helicopter, and I can’t get it to lift off. Tail rotor spins, main rotor spins , I’ve adjusted the gain and it won’t fly

This was my very first RC helo. 👍

I raced these as a younger fellow... made 3mm chassis plates from no parking signs. 6160 aluminium, believe it or not !! Countersunk them. All you did there was a clean-up. Not a resto. I had many GPM parts + Kyosho parts installed, Novarossi .12 motors, and cleaned up all of the slop in the suspension & steering linkages. Also, I ditched the Kyosho fuel tank for OFNA tanks, no primer, and a bronze diffuser at the outlet point. Your front shocks look like they came from an EP 3 electric version too. Pipes were Vantage, or HPI, which went better. The rear belt gets stripped from dummies doing donuts.

It would of been nice to hear you ralk through the restoration , i have two or three of these of these cars waiting to be restored along with many more cars and trucks , one day i will get to them , I've just finished restoration on two Hpi savage trucks , a 25 and X both 4.6 egines .

I never would by such a kyosho 10-scaler, because of that belt drives...

Oh my god, poor Mk2 ! Never put carbon fiber in liquid ! And also cleaning the chassis without disassembling all the parts ... Poor car.

I have one identical to this Hirobo Z but it is the "ZX" in chrome gold lettering! Same colors & everything! Bought it in 1991 in Hong Kong comming home from Operation Desert Shield/Storm deployment in the Navy! It has no absolutely no hovering/ flight time on it at all & it sits on my computer shelf here at the house. I had to assemble the whole entire helo with the acception of the of the swashplate assembly! I bought an O.S. .032 engine powerplant with the pullstart start cord like on a push lawn mower! That was my 2nd RC car from the 80's. Bought it while stationed at Misawa AB in Japan. Wishing like heck I didn't sell it too. That and my Hornet, Hotshot, Marui Big Bear and a few others.

Nice work! I'm glad the 1/10 RC F1 class has picked up again in recent years, but I wish there would be some models/shells which are this scale! Pretty much every current 1/10 RC F1 has proportions which aren't quite right

i had the original as a kid growing up. i remember tossing it and regretting it so bad now as i been looking at getting one again 25 + years later

This is awesome! I had the tamiya prerunner back in the 1990s and loved this style.

Back in 2004 or so this exact helicopter was the biggest waste of money I ever spent because it's extremely volatile and uncomfortable especially if your a newbie. After dozens of crashes I finally flew it up in the air and just let it crash into the first thing it hit at full speed kamakazi style because I gave up. The local hobby shop owner showed me the newer double rotor model which was much more stable but I didn't want to spend that much money on another helo at the time

My first hobby grade RC was a GP10. I still have it and plan on buying a used one off eBay to help restore it. Many hours of fun running that old car.

I have that exact same remote control, and I am a newbie at this game. I was wondering if you could give me a diagram of some sort of what toggle switch is control what.? I have the nitro 600 it’s a shuttle .50 I know the left toggle on front face is for fuel. The toggle switch on the top left is for rear rudder CENTER the one on the face on the right side is for my governor but the other three I’m not sure any advice you can give me I would so much appreciate it, or even a picture of a quick diagram of what the toggles or for..
