Your designs are wonderful! I really love how you incorporated more sunlight into Celestias design as well as switching the title to Queen! Although it begs the question of why Luna cannot be considered Queen also, I always felt bad for her as she seems like she's always in Celestias shadow even after her return. Perhaps she should have been given another set of wings to match Celestia's so it sort of ties them together and makes them more equal! Your drawings are beautiful 😊

I’m 99% sure the reason they included Luna’s black splotch mark in the cutie mark swap is because Luna’s moon mark is white, and Celestia’s coat is white, so we literally wouldn’t have been able to see it on Celestia.

Ayy your redesigns look great! I like how Celestia's hair now show all the colors of the sky during daylight, and cresent moon horn is definitely suitable for moon princess :D For some reason the smiley face on the thumbnail gives me vibes of a scent candle for some reason heheh

My personal headcanon for why Luna’s hair changes from her first appearance is that the hair change is something that alicorns earn. After all, we see Twilight go from normal hair to flowy hair in the finale. Before being Nightmare Moon she wasn’t mature enough, as Nightmare Moon she was a “dark” Princess, so it was looking at power rather than maturity, ability to reign, etc. so she lost is post-pilot briefly. But in her walk to redemption she actually did earn the flowy hair that also, at last, puts her on an even playing field with her sister.

I love this Celestia design more than the original one tbh, but I do have to say I think Celestia's look does represent light. I agree that her design doesn't represent the sun, but her design does represent rainbows and light. The sun is actually white first off, and the sun is like a mirror so it reflects light into colors. But tbh, why did they give her the name Celestia 😭 I feel like the name Dawn, Sol, or Aurora would have fit her better than Celestia. Personally for me, I have two ideas for Celestia. 1: Her coat is the color of white(but more of an off-white, not a snowy white) and her main and tails is in a gradient of red, fire orange, and yellow at the ends. Her cutie mark would still be the sun. And I also think she would wear more gold jewelry too, Im surprised she never had any gold accessories on her. Her eyes would also be a pretty golden color too. And instead of her name being Celestia it would be Sol(Sol is a gender-neutral name and I think it fits this version of Celestia) 2: Shes based off an Aurora boralis and a rainbow. So her coat is a beautiful iridescent, gradient of a pastel rainbow(Pastel red, pastel orange, pastel yellow, pastel green, pastel blue, pastel purple, and pastel pink). I would like to think her mane and tail is white but in the sunlight you can see just the smallest amount of shifting colors in her mane and tail(sky blues, pastel green, light violet, and pastel pink). Her cutie mark is also a pastel rainbow surrounded by two clouds(one on the top and one on the bottom). Her eyes are also a bright pinkish-purple. And her adornments and accessories are all made out of opals or clear quartz. Her name will also be Aurora instead of Celestia. I also think both versions of Celestia would have that Clydesdale fluffy fur on her hooves and wings, I just think her coat would be super fluffy. You're Celestia I would honestly name her Dawn, she looks like the Dawn :) I also have some ideas for Luna too. 1: This Luna still has her night sky coat, but I would make it into a pretty gradient where almost all of her coat is a dark blue(like the night sky) and the furs at the end of her hooves and at the end of her wings are a light gray-blue. Her mane and tail is also the color of a moon white and it has silver twinkles(or shimmers) in it. She also has strands of black mixed in her mane and tail too. She is also more adorned with moonstone accessories. She still wears a black crown, but I think it would be super cute for her to have moonstone accessories on her hooves and a lot of moonstone moon jewelry on her too. Her eye colors would still be her regular blue color though. Her cutie mark is also silver stars with clear almost looking clouds around the stars. 2: This Luna looks more like the moon. Her coat is also a moon white and at the end of her fur above the hooves it has a tint of silver. Her mane and tail is a iridescent, ice blue(thats very light in color) and it has a twist of silver with white sparkles. Her eyes are also a much lighter silver-blue. Her cutie mark is still the moon. Shes adorned with a lot of silver jewelry.

I always thought her parents were real, Galaxia &(I forgot the dads name lol) The king and queen. after celestia was now the ruler, they probably gave her the throne(queen), but as much as now, she calls herself a princess, not a queen>:( not nice. but I like someone's comment that said, "I always liked to imagine celestia calls herself a princess to not be intimidating to her subjects, now she is really the queen." Like that's very very very VERYYYYYYYYYYY true. Luna is my fav as well. and theirs 5 princesses in G4!! flurry heaarttt

I really like the thought/headcannon that Luna speaks like that because that’s how they spoke 1000 years ago and she had no idea they started speaking differently. It sure explains why she talked like that for a few episodes, but then got used to talking in the new “normal” way.

the creators actually didn’t want princess celestia to be queen celestia because queen was often associated with evil (queen chrysalis, the evil queen, ect) so they made her princess because it sounded nicer

In my redesign I just made celestia male then made sunsetshimer his daughter from his horrible ex wife. Just because it would be fun and also give sunset a reason to resent being there and also a reason to try and impress celestia. Yes she will still be a unicorn

Oh my godd i miss this show so much. I’ve been rewatching it this year and all of my brainrot for it has returned. Honestly I love all of the main cast so much, on my recent rewatch I’ve only grown to love both Adora and Glimmer’s character arcs all the more. Catra is definitely my favorite character, but I love them all so much and I appreciate people pointing out how ironic it is to like Catra but not glimmer. i love these two being foils and their eventual friendship is so satisfying aaa Also doing she-ra redesigns is a neat concept, i dont see this often!
