Excellent information. Thank you so much.
''use only the best tools'' bullshit, masters can use simple tools to produce unseen results fakes will always be on the chase for the best tool possible you don't need the best tool kids, you need a decent tool and the rest is thousands of hours of practice and thousands of failures to achieve mastery skill will always beat ''technical flaws'' of your "inferior" tool don't fall into this elitist old wrinkly granda mindset
Absolutely the best video ever on this topic. Thanks!
Very useful 👍
Brilliant! Exactly what I had been searching for. Great explanations of pencil use, strokes etc. Much appreciated 🙂
“There’s never any need for speed,” is something I think gets severely lost in the era of online art. I know I tend to forget. Thank you so much for this!
Brilliant explanation. Thank you for your help. I have a tacky kneaded eraser and wasn't sure about its full capability. This makes way more sense now.
Just curious. Why do you use 8H?
Thanks
I agree with Dennis below. You are an excellent teacher!
i used hb over 2b but if i want to make it more darker again what should i do?
Most useful video I have found until now for shading!
Sir would u plz like to tell me which brand paper have u used?
I'm so pleased I found this. Thank you so much. Clear vocabulary, Easy to understand, and exactly the information I was looking for. Really very helpful and now feel confident I know the basics to practice properly without fumbling around blindfolded. Heart felt Thank you.
This was an EXCELLENT video and I learned a lot. Thank you!
Thanks
Mike, your drawings are absolutely stunning. Especially the dog fur. I’ve always fancied myself a great drawer, but I cringe at that idea now. Lol.
An incomplete tip is not a tip, he could show in more detail how to draw a tree, but no, he barely shows the process, not even the graduation of the pencil, it's as if the driving instructor says you "this is the brake and this is the steering wheel, now drive".
This is really helpful. Thank you very much
It's a wonder how this channel has less than 2K subs. It should have more than 100k imo.
Amazing drawing and explanation! Thanks Mike. Have a nice day! :D
Lovely channel- I wish there were more clips.
Soo helpful ✨✨✨✨
Awesome.
Love it.
very good video. I wish I watched this one first. Needs more views and likes on it
This is a game changer. Going to try with my different pencils. So far have tried with my 2mm staedtler 925 25-20 and a standard wood cases pencil. Next I want to see how it works with my Koh-I-Noor 5311 5.6mm clutch. Thanks for the video.
This is a beautiful video. Thanks for the video
The shading detail is not trouble for me. Getting the outline tho. I’d be better off trying to invent time travel

its hard to open the staedtler the replacement packs. They should make it easier for people that have problems with their hands.
