    can you tell me in detail on how to determine the force applied for the analysis, i mean the amount of force.and why you decide to apply on both jaw?

    • @Davidpackard6173
      @Davidpackard6173 3 года назад

      Hi, your first question is a very good question! At first sight you should consider that the force is function of the torque that the person give to the sistem. Futher this force is not only function of torque but it dipends on geometry of the screw and friction coeficent and number of thread that work. Thinking that the man who gives the torque is superman and he can give all the torque that he wants, the maximum torque dipends on the static resistence of the thread screw . Is not so easy to explane these concepts here I belive... But I hope that I will give you a way to understand...Second question "why you decide to apply on both jaw?" :it is applied the 3rd principle of dynamic action-reaction, if you push with your hand on the wall close to you, you will give a force from your hand to the wall, on the opposite the wall will give you a reaction with the same force from the wall to your hand. In both cases the forces have the same value, same direction but opposite verse. I hope being help. Bye!

    At first I was wondering why you place view from the right on the right and view from up above the base view as it should be opposite. And then I realised you use American projection method and I use European one ;-)

    I enjoyed this, thank you. I'm currently studying to become a welder, and we also use a lathe and mill etc. What kind of job/education would use the majority of tools and skills needed, to actually make this vice? Being a welder is cool, but I'm more like an inventor, and I would love working somewhere that allowed me to make stuff like this.

    • @MrPascalchito
      @MrPascalchito 6 лет назад

      you should become an Engineer, if you are an inventor, or you can just get a certificate in Autodesk inventor and work for manufacturing companies, engineering,etc. welding is cool too, I used to be one myself.
