I really like the pink beanie you made! :)
Excellent review. I have the hard cover of this book. It’s an inspiration book for me. I’ve knitted two of her tutorial projects and I love them both. She is a fun teacher.
Good overview of the book. I would definitely not use Drops mohair if I knit the hat. I find it to scratchy against my sensitive skin. The pattern includes Merino which I think is important for stretch and body.
Thank you! I used Drops Air which is a tiny bit scratchy for some, but I don’t have any issues with it! Mohair would definitely be too scratchy I agree!
Wow stunning selection !! I love them all, thanks a lot for gathering it in this video ! ☀
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it! 🥰🥰
Maizena!
I loved this video, it gave me so many new ideas for projects! These are the kind of designs I love <3 Marimakko is actually a Finnish company and their design patterns are made by several different designers. The one you are talking about is called Unikko and it was designed by Maija Isola in 1964 ☺
Thank you for the correction, yes that’s exactly what I meant!! 🥰🥰
Great selection! Thank you for taking the time to find these and provide details! I hope you start one soon!
Thanks! Glad you liked it! 🥰
What a wonderful variety of patterns! Thank you!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it 🥰
Thank you for such wonderful round-up! Norma sweater is on my list since it came out, just still trying to find a replacement for isager tweed since its quite poky to the skin. Maybe tvinni held double.. but then adding mohair will be 3 stranded colorwork 😰
The Norma sweater 😍 3 stranded colourwork does sound like a handful yes, but on the other hand it might be a worthwhile combination!!
I wear my Norma sweater both to nice events and to work.
That’s so cool! I love the pattern!!
Really love these patterns!
Thanks! 🥰
Thanks for the inspiration 🎉 dirty caramel and mosaic sweaters are on my list as well! The Dirty caramel by Kutovakika inspired me to start knitting and buying her book ❤ let me know what yarn you would use and where you buy it in Austria! Always happy to find new stores outside of Vienna 😅😊
Thank you!! It’s such a georgeous sweater yeah! Right now I’m thinking of making it out of the Alpaca Soxx 4ply yarn, probably held together which I can buy in my local yarn shop (Kapferer) :) I’ll keep you updated!🥰😇
can you make the next video please with text? normally its easy to hear, but for me a foreigner, its easy to see, what you are doing :)
yes for sure! I think my captions are enabled, but perhaps its not doing a great job interpreting my crochet terminology! Thank you for letting me know!
So cute!! Thank you for the tutorial, I made two small penguins already ☺
Aww I'm glad! That's so nice to hear!!
When I see the ghosts I think of the little octopus plushies - so cute!
Right! Thank you! 🥰
Love these 😍😍🎃💀
Thank you! 🎃🥰
I love the ghost on ths swing they are so cute!👻
I agree! 🎃🎃

I like this designer as a person as well, her energy is wonderful! Thank you for this review, it was very helpful!
I totally agree! Thank you! 🥰
Love this episode! ❤
Thank you! 🥰
the light coloured buttons!!
Thank you!
That blue colour of the cloud sweater is so beautiful!!
I think so too!
Your Cloud sweater is so beautiful. That color! I prefer the lighter buttons for the cardigan.
Thank you so much! And thank you for the advice on the buttons, that was my thinking too :)
Your cloud sweater is lovely ! The color suits your so well ! ✨ For the buttons I would say the lighter ones. I think they will stand out on the red yarn, whereas the dark brown ones could be less noticeable. :)
Thank you!! That is very nice to hear :) I agree with this, I think I will go with the lighter coloured ones!
Hi! I would love it i you shared your opinions on my button choices down here :)
Love the cozy vibes ❤️
Thank you! 🥰
Wow so cool!
This was really helpful, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Wow some really interesting European winter knitting ideas here!
Glad you like them!
I agree! So cool!
Thanks for this review! Very insightful
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the round up! Is there a particular reason why you don't use Ravelry? I feel like this entire pattern round up would be easier for you to make and for the others to follow if you referred to the site. For example, The Simple Thing is available there with tons of projects and the name of the author. Moreca Knit is a pretty consolidated designer, by the way, she's just not from the small Scandi circle that makes the mainstream. I've heard people saying some of her pieces are better constructed than Petite Knit's. As for PK, especifically about the Maud Tee, I've heard at least two people who knitted it saying the collar doesn't stand still and opens in a floppy weird way
Thank you for sharing! I usually start on ravelry and then go to the linked website from there - not sure why but I’ve always done it that way! 😇
Good one! Thanks.
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it :)
great recommendations! I knit the Charlie pullover this year and it is the most beautiful sweater construction I've used to far, highly recommend! (Also that pattern is available on rav as well, not just etsy)
That’s so cool! You are inspiring me to also buy the pattern and make it 😍😍
thanks for sharing this! So nice to see other European knitters around :)
😊😊😊
Where is your T-shirt from? 😍
aww thank you! It is actually from Lululemon, its one of my favourite items in my closet 😊
The hat is so cute 🩷 could you share the pattern?
thanks! The hat is called the 'lighthouse beanie' and is from the book Knit this! by Veronika Lindberg.
I'm in Canada and I bought the physical copy of her book through my local yarn store 😊 I'm still a beginner in my first year of knitting so it was quite aspirational 😃 There's a lot of Brioche and it's quite daunting for me (what if I make mistakes 😆) Veronika is very inspiring, she's sort of ✨glowy and she's a photographer as well so I had to buy it because of her creativity level. I would like to make the Honey cardigan too, I look forward to seeing your version 🙂.
I agree that there is a lot of brioche stitch in the book which can be intimidating!! I’m really enjoying the honey cardigan, the half fisherman’s rib stitch is very pleasing to work up - and pretty beginner friendly in my opinion compared to brioche st! 😇😇
Vera I love this review and I can't believe I just found your channel whilst looking for knitting inspiration! YAY! ⭐💛
Omg omg so fun!!! Yaaaayyyy🥰🥰🥰❤️
That’s my city in your background! ❤
Omg so fun! It’s the places we’ve lived at 💚
Really nice review! Thank you for sharing 🧡
Thank you! Im glad you enjoyed it 🥰
Loved this video. I already have the book, but this gives me motivation to cast on a project from it.
Thank you! Yes exactly whenever I look through it I’m so motivated! :)
If you can do the 3 colorwork mittens, you can DEFINITELY do that sweater. I haven't done it, but its just a circular yoke sweater and colorwork is the same skill whether its done on sock size or sweater size. Only difference is amount of stitches and maybe yarn size. Also, both the socks you made were cute!! Keep going on em. I'm really disappointed in the sizing options. Not inclusive at all really, especially when an XL and 2XL are grouped together? I guess my standards for size inclusivity are higher, and especially when they're a big designer like this. Especially with the socks. Both of those are SUPER basic sock patterns. If there was colorwork or lace, i could understand limited sizing (usually theres 2 in these cases though). But for a dimple stockinette or ribbed sock, theres no reason for there not to be multiple sizes. I've made enough socks that i can self draft on the fly for any foot size basically, and im telling you, this was just lazy not to include more options for people not as familiar with socks :/
Thank you for the encouragement! This might be just what I needed to go out and buy the yarn for it!! I totally agree - grouping together sizes is always an alert… and yes, sizing up socks is easy for people who have made socks before - but might be intimidating for those who haven’t! I do still like this book and though overall!!
Thank you for sharing this!
Of course!
Thanks for this review, I love that caramel sweater 😍😍
Me too!! Hopefully I get around to making it soon :)
its so nice yes!!
Soooo cool!! 😍
Thank you! 🥰
This was very encouraging trank You :)
Im glad!
Omg the pumpen socks 😮
❤️🎃
Do you have any tips on the lace pattern for Fryd? I’m having trouble with the stitches not adding up
I had this exact same problem! What I did is I put a stitch marker at the beginning of each repeat of the lace, this was so helpful (so essentially I had a st. Marker for each repeat of the chart). It was still a lot of counting and undoing stitches but it turned out well in the end!
@@stitchespastfive Can you tell me how the stitches add up? I cast on 210 for the third size but the first row is 14 repeats of the 17 stitch lace pattern. That adds up to 238. I’ve never had so much trouble!
yes this I also found super confusing at first! I also made the third size and essentially the lace pattern is only 15 stitches, not 17 because of the k2tog and yarn overs which change the number of stitches you have per row. If you follow the pattern right to left and do everything as it tells you you shouldn't end up with any extra stitches! I hope this helps!!
My sister messaged me this morning showing me a picture of this frog , 🐸 so I will make her a frog on a swing !!! Ty so much for the tutorial ❤
Aww that’s so cute! I’m so glad! 🥰🥰
Omg 😍
The colour! 😍
