IF Peanut actually did bite an officer, it was out of panic and fear, he didn't know the stranger and he probably saw that his owner was freaking out and he was being taken away from the only person/people he ever knew love and safety from. They were animals and they obviously reacted as animals would normally act during a fear response. If there was an actual bite, it was the animal's defense mechanism and instinctual reaction. I can tell you as a former hiring manager what likely happens is they get so many applications that the manager doesn't go through them all, gives up when there are like 700 applications and reposts it. (I didn't do this, but I used to spend 2 hours a day just deleting the crap, most managers are too lazy for this.) These days you need to pound the pavement, introduce yourself, and drop off resumes old-school style.
