    Congrats Toray. I’m wondered, doesn’t the positive mold drag the fibers downwards when it is positioned on top of the other mold?? The prepreg that sits on the perimeter walls, doesn’t it get out of position or damaged when the top mold is inserted???

      The draft designed into the mold means that its not dragging, only compressing.

    Do you need to put any release agent into aluminium and if you do - do you need to reapply it after every item or just once.

      @@kirillprotsenko8116 A heated press is used in the video to cure the part and process the material. I suggest downloading the data sheet for the material for more information regarding the processing. You can find it on our website www.toraytac.com by searching or looking in the product selector.

    Do you compensate the thermal expansion of the aluminium mould in the design phase to have a good final carbon fiber part?

      Thank you for your question! Yes, thermal expansion needs to be considered in the design of the tool. Therefore the tool will be machined at room temperature to dimensions slightly less than what is being achieved at cure temperature, this in turn affects the required part dimensions at design temperature.     Force = k * v * v , if k goes to zero in hyperloops, weight dies not matter much?
