Amazing Transformation For Pauls Torana Interior.
So I had a visit form D.J (Auto Karnage) and Paul (Old Skool Only.) And they brought me a challenge. You see Paul has decided to resurrect a L.J Torana that has been sitting in the bush 300 km east of Kalgoorlie for who knows how long. DJ got the car from a fellow bush wreak hunter about a year ago. And Paul got wind of it and decided to fly from Sydney to Perth and rebuild it and drive it back to Sydney. We all thought who in their right mind would do something like that. It turns out Paul would. So, when i got the call to be part of this project i jumped on board. I love a challenge and i couldn't say no. I received the seat's and there wasn't much left. Just some crusty mostly gone sea...

Dirt Rust & Beer. Roughest Trim Job Ever.
Просмотров 6068 месяцев назад
on this episode I got a call from Byron (Down The Shed With Byron RUclips Chanel.) and he wanted me to have a look at a rusty old falling apart bench seat. It's part of a build he is doing with his son The Big Fella. the brief on this job is to do as little as possible just to get a seat under his ass. in the end I did a bit more than asked but I certainly did not go over board with it. Firstly...

Ricks Seats Ep5 Sewing.
Просмотров 204Год назад
In this episode we sew up the seat covers for Ricks seats. this is quite a time consuming process and it takes a good industrial sewing machine to sew through all the layers of fabric and foam. and as always I have my headphones on with some killer tunes to get through the monotony. I hope you enjoy this video and like share and subscribe. thanks. Vision trim shop.
Hand Stitched, Recovering a steering wheel in black leather
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.Год назад
on this episode I am recovering a steering wheel in black leather, the wheel belongs to Phil from Aussie Garage. he found a wheel he liked but it was a bit thin around the hoop, I added some thin 3mm dense foam around the hoop to give Phil a better grip. and then wrapped it in a soft and smooth leather. steering wheels are very time consuming but also satisfying. this is a collaboration video w...

Rear fitout of sandyvan panelvan
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.2 года назад
In this video, I get stuck into the fabrication of this custom fit-out in the back of a VY sandman panelvan. I start the video about a week and a half into the build. By then I had fabricated the frame work and had done most of the fitting. First I make some brackets for some rear panels, I made them to fit up to the original tailgate bracket bolts. This way I didn't have to drill into the body...

I also cut long strips that are used for making the piping on the finished seat. Some panels I glue to foam to back the fabric before cutting. I then separate the panels into there respective piles read...

You have clearly owned a torana before.
@visiontrimshop730 sure have Dan, first car I brought was a two door LJ
Love the nifty pump up lumbar support bag. Paul will love you for that.
Yeah I had it sitting on my shelf for 20 years. When I got the seats I thought it was a must. 4000 kms is a long way to be uncomfortable.
😂😂😂😂 Everybody knows about DJ'S 'MINT' 😂😂😂
I think we need to make a DJ mint t-shirt.
@visiontrimshop730 Oh he'll yeah, that would be awesome 😂😂
Awesome vid mate and it was fun getting to ready for old skool only and Automatives Karnage
Thanks mate. I love collaborating with those guys. It's always a good laugh and a great mission.

Enjoyed watching that. Bloody fantastic work mate! I owe you my soul!!! 🍻
Thanks mate. Loved being a part of this build.
25 red devils?
Great job on those Torry seats. A good reminder of the old days when seats were made.
Yes a lot has changed when it comes to how they were built back in the day.
The camera man, this is fcked lmao
Hahahahaha😂 gold loved the video bro I still owe you 38 beers 🍻 But we have a Brougham that needs some dan love now haha
No worries. I'm sure I can wind the beer counter up again. 😂😂
@visiontrimshop730 haha Forgot about the 39 for the derby car haha
@downtheshedwithbyron What? The Brougham needs love? That's 'DJ Mint' isn't it 😂😂
@davidvincent2838 haha gold Mint!!!!
Wish I was in WA. I have just taken two buckets and a bench and created a split reclining bench for my WB van. Got any competent mates in Tassy, who could cover them for me ??
Looks good mate. How much would you charge to do a steering wheel. Its off a 1998 100 series landcruiser. Plus the auto shifter head in black leather? Im in perth. Cheers
Weird I was unsubscribed? Anyway sorted that! Looks like you should have started the disassembly outside
Cheers Shane. It was a bit dark outside to film. And where would the fun be in that anyway. It was a good excuse to tally more beers. 😂😂
@@visiontrimshop730 I think you short changed your self on the beer tally🤪
Bloody ripper job Dan! But aww, that is only scratching the surface of DJ mint. Can't wait to see what you do with the pacer drivers seat. . . Its in two halfs, but im sure you'll work it out.
Well now you have seen how low my standards can go, bring on the pacer seat. I have Gaffa tape and lots of super glue.
Oh that came out awesome mate 38 ish beers hey hopefully you enjoy this derby car im building Thanks heaps for your help dude 👍
Cheers Byron. Looking forward to the derby. Thanks heaps for the invite. Can't wait.

Great work, Rick will be very happy. These will last the lifetime of the car. Is this trim in leather? How many hours all up would you say?
Thanks. Not leather it's vynal this one. In the factory colour. Didn't count the hours but lots and lots.😂😂
Well done. It looks 👌
Mate they came out awesome rick should be over the moon with them
You have done a fantastic job on these seats. Can you do mine?
Thanks for commenting. No time to take anything else at this point. Not enough hours in a day.😂😂
Now you can take a seat and put your feet up.
No rest for the wicked.
If only they told us in high school that the sewing class isn't just for girls making clothing BUT boys can learn so they can do car seats and more....if only.
They probably don't teach it at all now.
It's real cool to see the process and how much effort is involved. They came up a treat. I like the Hendrix mural too and did i spot some HQ parts hanging up there?
Ahh the keen eye. Yep I have a Hq van in the build that will feature on the chanell soon I hope. And I airbrushed the Hendrix on my cupboard door a few years ago now. I can't do boring white. Cheers.
@@visiontrimshop730 That's real cool, I have a HQ ute i'm fixing up so I notice the parts as my garage is similar to yours.Keep up the good work mate.
Beautiful job mate, very impressive.
Thanks mate. I appreciate your comment.
Perfect finish on these seats mate, Rick is going to be stoked.
Just seen this video pop up in my feed tonight, and of course i hadnt seen the previous videos so i had to watch the full playlist first😁. I must say its fasinating to see what goes into this job and the results look great. Im sure there is a shit tonne of hours into those so great job Dan
Thanks Shane. These seats were verry time consuming that's for shore. But always worth the end result. Thanks for watching.
Nice to see you went all out on the work boots😂
Awesome job mate, it is always perfection
Thanks mate.
Good job my friend. Can't wait to see the final product. Imagine how many people would have been sewing when these cars were being built. You help keep the tradition going. Cheers.
Thanks mate.i appreciate your comment. The big trim shops at the factory's back in the day would have been awsome to see. Cheers.
That was really interesting to watch mate. I had no idea how many small pieces would need to go into making the finished seat cover.
Thanks Mark. The next and last one is coming today.
Mate that has come out mint
Thanks mate. Can't wait to get on to big fellas chopper seat. Cheers.
Looks like a job that requires good tunes😂
Headphones are standard equipment. Otherwise I would have gone mad by now.😂
Magnificent mate 👌
Thanks Yarnie. See you tomorow.
Thanks Dan the Steering was awesome and great addition to the Aussie Garage Promo Van.
No worries mate. Loved being able to do this for you. And this is only the beginning.
Man that's fascinating to see how it's done by hand, thanks for showing us Dan. Looks a treat.
Thanks for the comment cunzy.. I have a lot more planned. Stay tuned.
may i ask what type of blade you have on the saw? i am wondering if i need to purchase a new band saw to get a blade like that, or if i can just change the blade itself. ??
Hey, all you need to do is find your local shop that can make bandsaw blades (sharpright maddington if your in perth.) and give them the measurement of the length of your blade and they will make one for you. Just ask for a knife edge blade. Or explain what your after. Hope that helps.
@@visiontrimshop730 thank you for the response. We are gonna go see who can do it for us. We will continue watching for any extra tips and help. Thanks again
Nice video - have you ever tried making ford mk4 zodiac seats into xy/xw style?

Thanks. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos. I appreciate you watching and commenting.
Watching that bandsaw in fast mo I had my fingers crossed that there would not be a worse situation than a cut on your hand while doing the spring work in the other episode eh eh..
Well done so far, looking forward to the next episode.
Awesome work mate.
