This rock was laser-engraved using a 50w JPT Fiber laser. The depth comes from the number of passes ran. As a starting point, these are the settings I used in Lightburn software: Speed 400, Power 90, Frequency 20, Line Spacing (LPI) .025, Cross Hatch checked, Flood Fill 15-20 passes (or more for depth) Other ways you can follow Marshall CNC & Woodworking: Facebook: MarshallCNCandWo...

Using a 40w CO2 galvo laser, with 210mm lens, I was able to tile this 10" x 15" design by indexing smaller parts of the design for the next section. The 210mm lens engraves an area approximately 8" x 8" so this board had 4 different sections. Process video of custom 24" family round sign

Process video of vcarving a 24" round pine sign using a Probotix Meteor CNC. Used Oramask 813 on wood prior to cutting so spray paint could be used to fill the carved areas. Removing Oramask after paint makes a simple way to keep the surface clean; a very light sanding after removal helps keep the depth and detail of the carve instead of sanding away. NOT a physical product. Was that real time?
No, there is text in the video that states "Speed 5x"
@@MarshallCNCjust rewatched it.... Have you tried tilling a 12by24 flag(with logo) doing this method?
@@kyfireman not on this CO2 galvo, I use my 80w CO2 gantry (20"x28") for that
Turned out great!
I really need to get me a Fiber laser! That chuck looks very nice!
I have a 50w JPT Fiber, 40w CO2 Galvo, 5w JPT UV and an 80w CO2 gantry and it can be used with any of them. Check out Jason's RUclips video: ruclips.net/video/t-6YSgoeip0/видео.html
Great tips! Thanks!
Height should have been used inplace of length 😂 if im not wrong
Babies go by length since they aren't standing upright
You have a beautiful voice, nice video too.
SHOW US HOW YOU MADE THE SPRAY BOX. NOW THATS COOL AZ F! LOL. Love the Unicorn Spit information. I just got a bunch and am watching how to use it. thank you.
RIP BROTHER
Is that the xTool F1?
No, 5w JPT UV laser
Very nice finish. Thanks for info. Appreciate it.
I'm sure the customer was happy. Great job!
That thing is amazing!
Can't here u
Very nice, can you tell us a little more about the laser. Whom did you buy it from? What kind of software does it run on?
Haotian laser, which I am an affiliate so if you're interested I can help with that. I use Lightburn on all 5 of my lasers.
The MOS is 12B not 21B?
I don't know. This guy was in Vietnam and told me that's what it was and what he wanted. Not sure if it could have been different then than it is now.
@@MarshallCNC Oh okay, I'm pretty sure it might have been 21B back in the day but now its 12B so I was confused lol
This unicorn spit paint is new to me but looks interesting to use.
If you want to order some, I have an affiliate link above in the description. I use it all the time, many different colors and uses
These are fantastic! Im curious what type of sealant do you use after you stain.
I use a pre-catalyzed conversion varnish
Great tutorial
What is the run time on that coin? I've seen some that has an hour runtime

Awesome! What type laser did you use ?
50w JPT Fiber (in description)
Just signed up for a membership on your page. Started at $10/month but may graduate to the next level! Y'all have some AWESOME designs/artwork! Thank you.
Wow, very nice!
Hello! What laser do you use? Also, where do you purchase your coin blanks? Thanks in advance!
This one is 50w JPT Fiber laser. I get my blanks from a guy named Bui Swiss on Facebook, he makes them.
I just added a link to coin blanks in the description
Thanks so much!!
That was cool. So is that the actual speed or was it sped up for this video and are those sounds real as it's working?
Yes, actual speed and sound
This is so awesome! Great job!
You've come with a really good idea by doing these tiles. Great job.
They look great!!!
Like your videos, especially the one you did on the 18" round with Unicorn Spit. How long did this take with the laser? Have a good week.
Thanks. About 55 mins
Great video. Assuming this is recorded in a mirror thus the reverse type? Appreciate your work, very nice.
Do you do any Police Ones? Great work
You have provided a wealth of information Mike. Some I knew, some I do slightly different, some is new. Thank you.
When using the sanding sealer I find that the unicorn spit bleeds into the brush making its way back into the can, how do you combat this?
I spray it on with HVLP gun
That is a very cool table. Very well done.
Where are you getting big sheets of Bamboo Butcherblock like that?
I got them from my last employer when I worked there.
Nice job Mike! It looks awesome!!
You got a smooth hand bro.. I tried with the same type of torch on a piece of sanded subfloor thinking it would be easy...😂noooo it was N.O.T😂 Mine looked Horrible as horrible gets. You did Awesome bro🙂
Practice on scrap 2x4's .... As you can see from all the trim in my shop, I've had a lot of practice
Great job, love your work.
Thanks for the tutorial! So you don't brush any of the soot off? Do you find that the soot darkens the spit as you go? Also, you mentioned a vinyl sealer, why this as compared to other sealers? Just curious...thanks!
It's not a deep burn and rubs off when applying spit. The vinyl sealer is just another sanding sealer, pre-cat which is ready for sanding in 20-30 minutes. It's solvent-based instead of water or oil.
Thanks for the video. What sealer are you using & what cnc is that? 👍🏻
Finish Works brand vinyl sealer, Probotix Meteor CNC
That is freakin' awesome! Excellent tip.
Nice tip, thanks.
That is awesome. Thank you for sharing.
Awesome, thanks for the great tip! Ill be using it for sure! (now I have to go get an iron)
Glad to help. I took my wife's iron and now it stays in the shop
Great video!
May I ask what is the brand of the wet look sealer you used?
Finish Works vinyl sealer
@@MarshallCNC would you have a link for the vinyl sealer? Google is not sowing much
@@CustomCraftedDesigns it's from a local finishing supplier but try searching Finish Works
What's your thought on using vinyl sealer as your sealer for wood? Thanks for doing this detailed walk through.
Yes, that's what its for
On the fire and rescue logo if the circle is 18 inch in dia. What is the cut depth and bits do you used? Thanks
Vcarve with 90 vbit and 1/4 or 1/8 endmill with flat depth of .25"
@@MarshallCNC Thank you so much. I have another question . I am trying to fine the finish you used would you mine sharing the name and type also where you buy it from? Thanks again. Ron
You can get vinyl sealer and conversion varnish at places like Sherwin Williams
@@MarshallCNC Thank You Ron
