I never understood the desire for fame. I understand wealth, freedom, well-being, love, but not why some people crave “fame”. With fame you’re under constant judgment, scrutiny and expectation and it becomes a burden eventually.
He was so immensely talented but, could not fill the void of his pain. You can tell how much he aged due to his addiction. Very sad. I'm grateful we have reruns of Friend’s & movies he was in to watch & enjoy his gift:) May he rest in power!

Prayed to God “to make me famous”. The trouble with people like Perry is that it’s all about themselves.
He's acknowledging that it was the wrong thing to pray. He's warning people that fame and wealth doesn't fix everything. I think God allowed him to be famous and go through what he did so he could help people get sober. He was so generous and open about his struggles.. that makes him a very humble person to admit these things to the entire world. That shows his heart. ❤
