@@DarthTamarus Me too! I was almost tempted to buy an ANH Sandtrooper the other day because it was so cheap, (well.. cheap for a Sandtrooper anyway!) The mad thing is, even the fact that I already own that particular figure didn't stop my finger hovering over the 'Buy Now' tab! 😂😂

@@TheRowlandstone73 I’ve still yet to acquire a pair of the P1/P2 shinys, but as of now i only have the two 501st clones. Don’t really have an affinity for Stormtroopers but then again, I grew up on the prequels 😂

@@malekith8447 Yeah I’ve sort of become more biased to the films as well. And there has been a lot of things I’ve wanted but passed on this year as well! So much good stuff announced.

@@nebulavoyager21 Thank you! And ultimately it doesn’t matter what we collect, as it’s all very similar. The only difference being the amount of money we spend on collectibles. I don’t look at any one thing as better/worse than the other. I respect anyone who collects. And I agree, having multiple hobbies can take away from the ones you really enjoy. As for myself, I too only really spend money on books and these figures/adjacent things such as customizations for said figures; CCFL sabers, custom capes, etc. I think I have a pretty decent handle on my current collecting desires. Of course it’s easy to want more, but I try to stay humble and appreciate what I do have, as it truly is a blessing to be able to collect anything one doesn’t really need.

It's such a cool way to make your collection unique! Cutting back on hobbies has helped me a lot too. It’s made it easier to focus on what I really enjoy instead of trying to do too much. @@daren2501 My first few figures were from Sideshow on discount: CW Anakin, Maul, Ahsoka and now they sell for even less than that. It’s sad seeing figures go for dirt cheap in a way but maybe things will be changing in the future.

@@ValkyrieMagnus-fh8yk It really is tempting for sure. I remember when i was wanting to collect The Bad Batch and I picked up Echo cheap and then saw the steadily rising price of Crosshair 😂 I gave up on that real quick.

I would assume the same could be done in reverse as well; source the “ghoulish” portrait and use it on this body. Or another idea: redress this figure with the ROTJ outfit so that he could have his EP1/Standard Darth Sidious look. 👀 🧐

@ this CW Sidious figure outfit is basically the animated interpretation of the outfit in ROTS. I have thought about doing that too though, pair this clean portrait and slap on the ROTJ outfit for the clean Ep1/2 looks. Furthermore, you can use the ROTS deformed sculpt with the ROTJ outfit for the Emperor Palpatine look we see at the end of ROTS. The next Palpatine figure HT should make is the Chancellor red outfit look which should bring two sculpts. A clean neutral since they already did a clean smiley one and a deformed angry expression. 👌🏼 can get confusing with all these looks lol

@ I’m thrilled they did the ROTS outfit vs Yoda, that’s my favorite look. I’m just disappointed with the likeness and expression, but oh well. And agreed, I want that Chancellor look too!

@@jermainehaslam5634 I know! He can just have a normal passive expression or you can move the yes and really make him look sinister. That gesture brought a lot of life to this figure imo.

@@nebulavoyager21 Hot Toys typically takes iterations as seen here and makes them look like their live action counterparts. As per the clones from TCW, they kind of take liberties and make them look like what we’d expect them to in live action. For the most part, I think they do a really good job. Sideshow has been making 1/6 figures directly adapted from TCW though. I’d definitely recommend checking those out just to see the difference.

@@malekith8447 It wasn’t bad for the time but after seeing this one and the artisan sculpt, I agree it definitely needs updating. Fingers crossed the EPIII sculpted is announced before this time next year.

I’m feeling pretty similar. Trying to avoid anything created by Disney and stick to just characters/versions created under Lucas.

@@nebulavoyager21 Thank you! I did tried my best 😂 and yeah it’s crazy to make the connection between Anakin and Vader and the fact that it happens in such a short time is tragic. I mean he spends half of his life in the suit when it’s all said and done. And I’m also very pleased with the figure. I wasn’t quite old enough for that lol but I’m aware of it. My dad would’ve been a part of that for sure.
