Sikhism’s concept of God as abstract and impersonal directly contradicts the loving, caring “Abba, Father” God revealed in the Bible (Romans 8:15; Galatians 4:6). God loves us with an everlasting love and draws us to Himself in patience and faithfulness (Jeremiah 31:3). He also makes it clear that He cannot be reconciled with any so-called god of another religion: “Before Me there was no god formed, and there will be none after Me” (Isaiah 43:10) and “I am the Lord and there is no other; besides Me there is no god” (Isaiah 45:5).

The god of Old Testament is not all loving god. He asked Isralites to enslave men and women of neighboring kingdom. He asked for mindless massacres on multiple occasion. He claims to be afflicted by "jealousy". The list goes on and on. This is the problem with people like you, who have not read eastern religions. Currently online sponsored Sikh community is a Neo-Sikh movement started by British around 1900. Actually they don't have an abstract impersonal diety. Waheguru is both personal and impersonal, with form and formless. And good for us, he doesn't call for enslavement or massacres of anyone.

@@onegospel1 Jesus didn’t say the rainbow is a promise from god not to flood the earth: that’s in Genesis 9. While Jesus reportedly did say he came to fulfill every letter of the “the prophets”, he contradicts himself when he declares all food clean in Mark 7. Jesus did not define sexual immorality. That was Paul in Corinthians. What Jesus did say was lust is enough to be a problem (Matthew 5) and you, my friend, have likely committed this sin many, many times in your life. And, in John 8, He says only the pure may throw stones. Therefore, so long as you are impure - and you probably are - keep your preaching to yourself lest you be like the hypocrites who pray openly in Matthew 6. THAT is the teaching of Jesus. You haven’t even quoted the book correctly!

@@Hexspa Here is some Scripture to read where Jesus defines sexual immorality. Matthew 5:32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts-murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. Jesus is condemning every kind of sexual immorality. God created the rainbow as a reminder of His covenant between Himself and us. No matter how depraved, wicked, vile, treacherous, blasphemous, or proud we become, He will never flood the earth again. The rainbow is a covenant of grace. It is actually a symbol of Christ Himself. The Bible reveals to us that the rainbow is a symbol of Christ in Ezekiel 1:26-28. In Revelation 4:2-3, John saw Christ clothed with a cloud and a rainbow on His head. By the way, Jesus (the Son) is God. John 5:19 Jesus says, “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does."

@@onegospel1 Yes, he condemned sexual immorality but never defined it. So I think to specifically call out the Pride community is strangely exclusive. Certainly more “straight” people are sinning. Why waste your time on the minority? Neither quote you gave me was about the rainbow and the flood. That was the verse in my other reply, Old Testament which Jesus is wobbly on. The Pride people have many intelligent members among them. When they’re ready, they’ll grow spiritually. In the mean time, I see no point to preach to them but by all means preach. However, you don’t help your case by having floppy evidence. If JC says the old book is law then breaks the law, it’s hard to place blind faith in him. In any case, he didn’t write the Bible so there’s plenty of room for us to use our own intelligence: which is better spent on “us/me” than “them”. Thanks
