Easy meat for a SAM 7
Suggest exploring this platform's counter measures both active and passive, Mil24 was a sitting duck for stingers just some perspective
Most any rotary wing aircraft is easy meat for a Surface to Air Missile .
@Craig Britz And who made you the expert?
*looks at every Helicopter Ever* Checks out
South Africa should be making more of these and sell em
The US got an agreement signed with SA not to sell them - to protect their business - else threaten sanctions. YUP. That's how the arms business rolls.
Not if the french and the Americans have anuthing to say about that
SA tried to sell them America threatend anyone who wanted to buy them
we cant sell these. there were buyers but thanks to the USA they all backed out
I might be biased because I am South African, but man that is one sexy piece of flying machine....

Love these open flying days at Swartkop, especially when the Harvard club are flying.
The Spitfire is very representative of all SAAF fighter pilots who flew for the Allied Forces during the Second World War. This aircraft is normally known as a MkXVI, when fitted with an American built Packard 266 V12 engine. However there were a number of low back clipped wing tip MkIX Spitfires built, fitted with a Rolls Royce Merlin 68 series engine, a 27 litre V12 with a two stage geared supercharger, producing 1650 Hp. This SAAF museum aircraft is one of the rare RR Merlin engined low back MkIX's.
Thanks for sharing this, I missed the broadcast on Radio RSG.
Nice video mate!
