Don’t do this at home, li-ion batteries can catch fire or explode very badly. If you want to take the risk do it outside, a specific li-ion fire extinguisher (water will make it worse) and nothing flammable nearby!

Used 2 small gauge wired to do this, worked in about 30 seconds. (I think the higher gauge the wire used, the faster it'll work.) but be careful!

This is an awesome video. What would be a safer cord to use? I’m afraid to get shocked and would rather buy something safer because I have several to try to fix. I also have a couple that smell like an electrical fire. They have not been used much at all but I’m afraid to use them. Can you tell me your thoughts?

I use my laptop charger which is pushing out 19 1/2 v. Make sure to keep an eye on the battery as it's charging making sure it doesn't get too hot. I also put it in front of a fan to ensure the same thing. By the way I was doing this because I diddnt have a charger for that manufacturers batteries at that time otherwise I would have done as shown in the video. Actually I probably would have just stuck it on the charger and we're doing fine. I have walked away from a 12 volt Milwaukee battery that I left charging on my car while it was running and well it never charged again... I was also quite happy when I realized that I can jump my truck with the 18 volt battery, I wasn't exactly thrilled about doing it but I was in the middle of nowhere and I had used all my battery for lights while fishin and that was my only way out. But, I tell you what, that sucker started right up! I just made sure to kill as many of the electronics as possible as to not fry them. 😎

What kind of cable wire did you use? I am having issues with my Black & Decker 60v not charging and the charger is showing a red fast blinking light. I don't want to spend money on a new battery if I can do what you do.

Bro...... YOU ABSOLUTELY ROCK. I just picked up a brand new porter cable drill with 2 batteries and charger for 50 bucks because the store said the batteries were shot, lol. I literally jumped the new ones for a few seconds, not minutes, and they're both charging. One was blinking red fast, and the other was blinking red for over temp, I'll find out if they take a full charge or not in a little bit but damn, best video I've seen on RUclips yet.

Hi Anthony, do you think this technique will work with an Echo 58v lithium battery. Unfortunately, it was left in the charger & it over charged. Now it is dead & will no longer charge. Before I try your method I would like your input. Thank you Jeffrey
