You tube channel commentators use the word "GREAT" too much. Mac had solid stats in college. He deserves a chance to play in the NBA but c'mon he's not going to start for any team. Wish these you tube people knew the game better.

Reminds me of the Jeremy Lin story. He was 6'3" (Mac is 6'2"), had an elite first step, but perpetually underrated, showed flash in the Summer League, had also excelled in the G League, and blew up when he stumbled into the right situation in the League... But once he got injured, things sort of slowly went downhill from there. So, it will be imperative for Mac to stay healthy...since so much of his game is based on his athleticism.

Seeing the growth from being a college freshman 4 years ago until now is impressive. This kid is a hard working gym rat who is hungry and takes nothing for granted. If nothing else he will be a solid NBA starter. With his work ethic and desire , the sky is the limit for him.

I love watching this kid. I’m rooting for him. Same as you would root for Caruso, Poole… Wasn’t known as an elite lottery pick, and is proving that hard work and good organizations pay off. As a Wolves fan, we’re used to seeing our best players leave and then do even better with their new team. Poor organization. I hope that improves with new ownership. But for Mac - at least he’s in one of those good organizations. Good luck and enjoy the ride!

Hmm? How about noooo! We've been hearing this crap since he was in high school. The problem is he pretty much peaked in high school. In college his best year *Junior" he averaged 15 pts per game. That isn't much improvement from his Freshman year, when he averaged 13 pts per game. All he has learned in G-League is not to be a ball hog. He improved his assists, I'll give him that. However, you fanboy morons hype this guy when he cuts a fart or wipes his ass. He made a lateral move not a step up. He went from one G-League team to another, not a regular season NBA roster. Yes he'll get a shot in preseason but remember Golden State just won a championship. They don't need some project player to develop in the NBA. That's what the G-League is for not the NBA. He is a 6'1" Shooting Guard trying to make a league where the average shooting guard is 6'5" tall. His defense is at best mediocre and Steve Kerr stresses both good D and good O. Hey best of luck to him but GS is trying to repeat and he has to beat out 1 of 4 shooting guards who were on last year's championship team. Good luck doing that. I think he actually has less chance of making that roster, than he did making the Lakers roster. Hype him if and when he gets an NBA regular season contract. You Mac fanboys are about to get yet another lesson in the difference between RUclips hype and reality here shortly.

He may make the team, but there is a big difference between being an integral part of a good team and the pick up ball atmosphere of summer league.

Been a Mac fan for years. I hope he makes it on a squad. I’m not super hopeful. If he were that good, he would have landed a regular spot on a roster by now. The warriors have way too much young talent to keep Mac on the regular season roster. I hope I’m wrong.

I'm rooting for Mac been following since high school.

Holding the fastest 3/4 court sprint time at combine since 2001 means he is probably the fastest player in the NBA or close to it. I never thought speed meant very much in basketball until I see him passing defenders in the open court for layups.
