It's based on a BMW flat twin engine but they do make good aeroplane engines

Just a reminder: whenever you guys modify your 2cv's engine to make it fast, I reckon to upgrade the brakes too. they're quite weak so you have to predict when to brake, if you somehow happen to go 80+ mph on a 2cv, the chances of the brakes failing are miraculously high.

the original brakes work pretty well with BMW engines though...
imagine you saw this beast race past you on the autobahn
now it just needs fibreglass body kit... too look like a turbo...

I made a 2CV turbo project (with injection and digital ignition) already in the begin 80'of the last century, so about 40 years ago! Of course I had to make a lot of adjustments to the brakes, suspension, etc. to be able to ride en brake this extra power!

J espère que tu lui as monter les cylindres pistons culasse et carbu de la moto bmw celle des gendarmes 1200cc ca sa pousse severe en plus il faut lui monter 2 carbu moi je fait fabriqué une pipes d admission pour lui monter qu un gros carbu webbers double corp deja en 1200cc elle pousse severe pour une deudeuche rabaissé pour éviter qu elle ce balance trop puisque je compte faire du circuit avec elle a les disques de la gs Citroën pareille a l arrière les frein gs d ailleur vue que c est le même moteur en 4 cylindres je vais surment le monter ca risque d etre lourd à l avant mais 4 cylindres 1200cc forger piston bielle pour le turbo ou compresseur on vera le plus simple a faire

what type of turbo and blow-of valve have been used? i am looking into putting a turbo on my 2cv as well.
i think it's simpler to install a BMW motorcycle flat twin as to modify the 2cv to work with a turbo who not explode at first full run...
You'll be surprised how much a 2CV engine can take.

@حمید رضا it depends on the conditions under which it is driven. run it on track run it about 5km / l. daily driving on the street drive it about 15-18 km / l. Has driven 20km / l on the small Swedish roads on the way to the world meet in 2007.
unbelievable strong engines has that 2cv to get so much power without blow.
Even Citroen ran a 2CV engine at full rpm for a 1000hrs to prove how reliable it is.
