What are the Most Realistic Flight Simulators of 2023?
At 3:58 is that Chuck's Ercoupe in the top left background?
Yes it is!
I really enjoyed this flight. I was trying to work out whether the gentleman with you was a passenger or an instructor but when I heard you describe the aircraft to him, I guessed "passenger". The coolest part for me was to see this near 80 year old aircraft still doing what was intended of it. Do you own/have shares in her? In terms of what I want to see? Anything you film!!
@Squirel Glad you enjoyed it. I have been flying her since getting my license earlier this year...I will be making a whole video about that journey.
@@AceSimulations Oh that will be cool.
What did you think of this flight? What else do you want to see? Let me know!
No runup?
@@TexasDivorceAdvice I cut that part out of the video
I need this but i need a bigger house first
What do you think of the AI pilot in Microsoft Flight Simulator? Useful or Useless?
youve come so far man i cant wait to see how you continue to develop it! love from Minnesota
@maxbuildsgokarts Thanks! Lots of cool things to come!
I thought that was real for a second lmao
Cut the throttle a little bit
Very cool plane and nice flying and landing - especially with the wind not behaving. Some butter was spread that day lol. Good view spot for us to tag along too. Cheers and Happy New Year.
Glad you liked it! Happy New Year!
Nice plane and great landing! Enjoy!
@@zandanse Thanks!
Put a lot of MS SIMULATOR time in before I got my IFR ticket.
@billcuddyer7015 I think it IFR is some of the most value simulators can offer since it is mostly focused on procedures.
@@AceSimulations I found it an invaluable way to memorize frequencies for nav aids and reporting points. Provide great practice for shooting approaches and holding procedures.
Who the fuck cut your hair? Never seen just a fade in the middle 😂
Sick setup dude. I’m jealous.
Thank you!
I'm sorry but how immersive can it be using only one monitor for views?
@user-smshonudj1jb35vd I am planning an upgrade soon but it is a 75 in tv so very large. The camera has a different FOV so it appears much smaller. The entire windshield is covered.
@AceSimulations I guess the camera's FOV doesn't do the actual view enough justice. Will be looking forward to the upgrades.
I totally agree. I like the idea of running MSFS 2020 when the servers are down or my internet goes off line. Sure, the detail isn't as good but I can still fly. That can't be done with MSFS 2024. I know there are graphical improvements, many of which are not visible from a couple of thousand feet. Then there is the cost, not just of the simulator, but the upgrade prices being charged by 3rd party developers. I understand why but I'm not going to commit to that kind of spending when I already have an excellent and stable sim. Cheers.
Sedona is definitely a spectacular area but when I flew in there (in my sim) the winds were really freaky, seemingly coming from all directions at once. Nice flight.
@Squirel I have flown in sedona in real life and the winds are really a pain. All of the mountains cause a lot of turbulence.
@@AceSimulations Yeah and the airport being up above the surrounding area on a plateau.
Better camera angles coming soon. It's been a while since a flight so enjoy some spontaneous flying around Sedona!
What are your thoughts? Let me know!
At last, a video with no background music!! :-)
I will try to do more without background music.
Great presentation - well done.
Thank you!
Very clever!
Thank you
Hey man, awesome video! Do you have any recommendation for where to start with learning and implementing avionics? (Coming from simple Estes kits and such) I’m hoping to get up to your level of data collection, but I don’t know where to look or what to buy 😅
I started with some basic Arduino. Then just experiment and learn how the hardware functions. There are lots of great resources out there on some of the more advanced concepts but the number one thing is to just try ideas and see what works. If you want to start out a little more advanced I would check out the Adafruit Arduino boards. Then just follow tutorials and examples until you have an understanding of the system. I will try and put together a high level video on my systems.
fps?
I usually average close to 60fps. It is very dependent on where I am flying of course. New York has a lower fps than the middle of Kansas. I usually get closer to 80fps in areas like that. I have a video on how I tuned my settings below. ruclips.net/video/4FHCARF-nU4/видео.html
@@AceSimulations thank you for replying
What are you most excited about with FS2024?
Crazy bro 😮
😂❣❣smart minds thing alike but i was going to 3d print sprockets to keep down weight
Nice! 3D Printing is tons better for ease of manufacturing. Just make sure to check your forces and material strength.
But 2020 looks better with simple mods. I mean to achieve this I ain't paying another 200 euros.
At the moment I agree. This was on FS2020 with some mods. FS2024 is not enough upgrades for the price.
I thought that's real
Motion?
I would love to but that adds a whole new layer of complexity not to mention cost.
@@AceSimulations absolutely, what an amazing job well done
@@nateshomesimulator Thank you!
"Pilots are requested not to step outside the aircraft mid-flight."
Impressive
@@Curious-Minds Thank you!
A fantastic experience - both flying both ways and the event itself. I noticed you were in the left seat - so cool. The fireworks and light display were amazing.
@@Squirel Glad you enjoyed the video. Oshkosh really nailed the night show this year.
What is your favorite Oshkosh Experience? I can't wait for next year!
hello im on a budget for a enclosed cessna cockpit and I have the logitech yoke can you help me?
Yes absolutely. For one I have a playlist of all the videos on my simulator. ruclips.net/p/PLGwghv2FvbZw7W049eZgrYrrhzlJBYLqN I also have DIY build plans available at acesimulations.com/cessna-172.html. I hope this helps!
Vegas is looking really good, it's been updated since I last flew there. I will have to fly there again. If I could make one small suggestion - can the camera position be raised? As a viewer, what I could see in front of the plane was quite restricted. If the camera was raised and then tilted down slightly, the effect of the building lights reflecting on the screen could could be reduced or eliminated. Thanks for another look at your awesome sim.
@Squirel I am trying to find something better mounting wise. Unfortunately my options are rather limited in the cockpit but I will improve it. Thanks for the comment!
@@AceSimulations Thanks for giving it some thought.

@markbeshay fair enough though maybe I can do it in the future.
...and for those wondering it is running on a 4 year old laptop!
Looks like a nice upgrade - looking forward to seeing it in action!
Are you also running your instruments displays or just visuals on that laptop?
I run everything on the laptop. There are also a few microcontrollers that handle some interfacing of controls.
Great save..now she will live FOREVER!! 🐦 ❤

...but it is fun!
Very cool! I am putting in a Garmin G3x, dual G-5s, GTN 750, GMA 350, and a GFC 500 autopilot, in my Mooney 201. I am now going to build a simulator kind of like yours. I am starting with a base that will be steel with a plywood top. Harbor Freight wheels, then I am using Amazon screw jacks that I will weld onto the steel base so that I can roll it, then use the screw jacks to level it. I have four of them that cost $15 a piece. I am researching what instruments to replicate what I have in the plane. The Realsim does seem the easiest way. However, it is pricey and there seems to be a lag on the touch screen.
Very cool! Real Sim Gear I think is the best option. I will have a review coming out on them soon.
I looks like you are kind of doing the same thing I am doing. It will be great to see how you do yours.
Very cool! I just released a tour video of the complete simulator. ruclips.net/video/4B7YCdlOKbY/видео.html
