While working in Tasmania we got to explore the stunning landscapes. Mount Amos is apart of the Granite Mountains located in the Freycinet National Park, only a few hours drive north of Hobart. We stayed Bicheno just outside Freycinet National Park, which was beautiful AND we even had PENGUINS come through where we stayed. This was definitely a highlight area of our time spent in Tasmania.

The West Coast is a great place to visit. Plenty to see and do.
Interesting and well documented video, I have a 2022 QF Pajero sport and the complete lack of video information, especially relating to the LED wiring harness installation (or any popular repairs for that matter) is underwhelming, especially as there are literally thousands of them on the road. My major concern is how on earth do you disconnect that wiring harness plug from the headlight, other than hit the thing with a "hammer", I have reasonable access by lifting the fuse box out of the way to access the harness with two hands, I wiggled, pushed, squeezed, pulled & cursed all to no avail, is there any other way to get ulcers !!!
@tonyclifford7557 hey mate, glad it helped, not much out there on it. Have you tried prying it off with a flat head screw driver?
@@diysalmon Yeah, have tried that, which pulled the "whole" harness wiring out of it's socket. I've also tried heating the connection with a heat gun & whilst the whole harness was disconnected from the socket & sitting at a 'down hill' angle, I sprayed some silicone spray around the harness male/female connection sleeve, all to no avail. At least by lifting up the fuse box I can now get 1.5 hands into the area, doesn't help though - if it wasn't a major feat, I would remove the headlight :( Probably time to eat humble pie and visit a Mitsubishi dealer - bugger.
@tonyclifford7557 oh wow, usually the screw driver does the trick, sounds like it's fused some how. That's a bugger mate, the only other thing I can think of is use 2 vice grips on each separate part and a reversed clamp to put expanding pressure on the two parts while pressing in the clip release. But that's getting excessive for a plastic clip!
@@diysalmon Your advice and thoughts have been much appreciated, when my local mechanic is back on the job (he owns a Triton), so hopefully he may have a trick or two up his sleeve. In the meantime, have yourself & family a safe and merry XMAS & I will let you know when I have a successful outcome, regards, Tony.
@tonyclifford7557 no worries, all the best and merry Xmas!
Thanks mate!! Good video
Great video mate, about to straighten mine so this tutorial really gave me some good ideas.
@@cylinyamouf glad it help! Good luck!
Removing panels is not exactly difficult. Top rail is held on with 2 screws per side. Then 3 sheets lift straight out. And if you dont want loose posts in the first place. Dont use quick-set/rapid set. Firstly its more expensive than general purpose concrete, and its not even as strong. Like most things of this nature, if you want a good job, dont pay someone to do it for you, doing it yourself is cheaper, and you can put as much concrete down the holes as you want. A contractor is just gonna do the bare minimum to get paid. Small footings, no plinths, half a handful of quick set down the hole. Post loose in the first wind. A shitty job from "professionals" as usual. I did all the fences around my property for half the price of a pro job, and i was able get my posts cut custom length to accomodate deep footings, plinths, and 2m sheets. About 4 bags of concrete down each hole, buried 1000mm below grade. My neighbor paid a bloke to put 3 half panels in the front for about the same prices as i did an entire side. All the posts are loose. Theres no plinths. Used half 1800 sheets instead of half 2100 sheets, and missing screws all over the place. Just a shitty job
All good points, this method is more so for some people who don't have the skills or confidence to remove panels and posts and reset/align. It is more managaeable to do a post or a few at a time. But yes, plenty of dodgy installers out there like the ones who did this fence!
Not always true about contactors doing the bare minimum. There are a lot of people that take pride in there work and the longevity behind the workmanships. We use a machine where we can and all batched concrete, 700mm footings with a plinth minimum standard as seen in my instruction video on my channel. I like the video mate, and am always open to new ideas !
Thank you very much for this vdo. This is exactly what I need to do to fix my fence.
No worries! Glad it helped!
What an informative video! The visuals are great - very creative!
@UC-TheDigitalMarketingDigest thank you very much! Glad you found it enjoyable!
I thoroughly enjoyed your video, it was very informative and easy to watch! I found it very engaging and visually pleasing, great job!

Very Informative with a lot of facts presented clearly, to be understandable in a short amount of time. Visually engaging with applicable graphics matched timely to the speech. Continuity of the presentation style was kept throughout making it easier to view and take in the information. An Engaging Informative presentation, thankyou, and well done.
That's a very comprehensive comment! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! If you want a more in depth review, click the link in the description!
The iron fence on the outer boundary has bent. Can you help me how do i fix it and straighten the damaged section?
@MuhammadBilalKhanVlog hi Muhammad, I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but if it is bent, you can bend it back the opposite way, just taking it slight further than straight to allow for the fence to relax back in position. But this is assuming no major damage etc, and you will be left with a slight "crinkle" if it's a panel type fence.
@@diysalmon if you could pls send your whatsapp number i can send you pictures

@Gothpuncher cheers for the comment. I'm stoked to see that the video is helping others!
Thanks a bunch for this video. I installed a second hand one myself today, didn't have any instructions and I followed you vid, made a massive difference. Wasn't too hard except for that nut with the wire attached, took me ages to get it lined up.
Thanks mate, glad it helped!
I’m glad that gorgeous ring has found its home within an even more beautiful couple. The love you two share is infectious and I found myself smiling watching you two lovebirds celebrate this special moment. I’m wishing you much luck, love, patience, and even more blessings in this new adventure!!

Oh wow - congratulations! I think I've witnessed the most enthusiastic "YES" in history!! Takes me back 15 years when I popped the question. Wishing you all the best and many joyous years together, even though we don't know each other. My daughter and I just enjoyed your Mt Solitary video and her immediate comment was about how sweet a couple you are! I guess you are just meant to be together. Cheers from a misty-eyed bloke in Sydney - Dave
Hey Dave, Haha yes she is quite enthusiastic! 😄 Aww thanks mate, hopefully that's the case. That's lovely of her, I'll show Tash these, she will love it! Shout out If you guys are ever down Canberra way! (Not very enticing I know haha) all the best till then!

Takes me back 30+ years when a mate and I camped at what looks like the same location. My daughter and I just watched your hike together and we're planning to do it with her and my son later in the year. Her comment - "dad, they look like a lovely couple". Thanks for the effort you put into sharing this and perhaps we'll see you on a trail somewhere! Cheers from Sydney - Dave
Hey Dave! Happy to hear you enjoyed the video! Haha, thanks, the misses will love that comment. Oh that's great, you guys will have a blast, if I could reccomend anything it would be prehaps a good pair of gaiters and snake bandages, lots of mid level grass. Hopefully see you guys around! Cheers Josh.
@@diysalmon Hi Josh - good advice and thank you. We spend inordinate amounts of time in the bush here in Turramurra as a trail running family and you've piqued our interest in getting to know the Blue Mountains better. As for our daughter - she is an excellent judge of character! Cheers, David
Genius!
excellent video and an excellent overview
Thanks! Good video! I was tempted to DIY but now I know I should not. I can screw unscrew bolts, but cutting the slot in bumper is not my forte. Still very helpful video to understand what's required to get this done.
Thanks mate, yeah the cutting is the most finicky part!
Can we take a moment to talk about the oil pouring out the intercooler 😳

I'm sorry we tried it out for this hike, but I haven't made a profile to follow! But the route is pretty common and is on alltrails !

It was normal, which was great besides one of the home stays which had bed mats like rocks! (Da Bac, local experience haha)
I tig my Damascus so I do not contaminate my high carbon steel with garbage no carbon filler wire. Does it all get ground off? Maybe, maybe not. Forge On!!! ps im a fan of 240 count, its neato!
I'd say you would be on the money there, can only assume as it's a beginner course, it's overlooked. Unfortunately not, compressed into the billet they were. Cheers mate!

You should know the art of producing Damascus Steel has been lost through the ages and your efforts are unbelievable by that I mean you're not making Damascus Steel so give it up
We did a pretty good job didn't we! Glad you loved the video too!

Such a good place to work. 👍👍
Very cool video! Congratulation - well done! I am really shocked at the "posh" description done by AI... What else might a "bright" future hold in store for us? Good video! Best reagrds!
Thank you, yes interesting times ahead in that area!
Did you need permission to camp on top Mount Solitary? Is it a defined campground?
Not that I am aware of, but there were not any signs saying only camp in designated areas, quite a few hikers camped along the top. Just keep in mind, almost no water sources close by, and you will be exposed to any weather if it arises.
