Cats of the wood is a warrior cats fanfiction/AU. The only similarity to cannon warriors is the system, but even this I have tweaked. You can understand what’s going on without reading the books because the protagonist is an apprentice-aged loner who knows nothing about the clans, and is taught everything as he joins Treeclan. I really dont like the Netflix translation/localisation. It adds so many things that are not in any way shape or form mentioned in the actual character speech. Even as someone who can barely understand Japanese language, the blatant need to insert their own words is frustrating. And to top it off, they tend to use a lot of "newspeak", meaning contemporary neologism words youd hear in modern day California instead of a fantasy setting. Maybe to some reading this it might seem like I'm nitpicking, but I cant help it but be frustrated not just for myself but for people who are going to experience this amazing story with such botched localisation.

I thought Mickbell was a girl until i saw this video and searched the wiki.
They are a pair of mirror images. One seems greedy for money, but is actually very responsible.He doesn't have a good relationship with Catwoman, but Catwoman likes to sleep next to him. One seems to value friendship, but is actually greedy for money. He has a good relationship with Dog Man, but there is a bit of a master-servant relationship.
Kuro sees Mickbell as a child who needs protection, they both sabotage each other's ability to be self-reliant for different reasons. The toxicity of their relationship is mutually maintained.
Why can't yall just use the English dub?
Because I prefer hearing the original audio as it’s closer to what was initially written/intended. The subtitles also tend to be closer translations because dubs are more likely to make translations less faithful in favour of suiting them to the western audience. I also don’t like how the English dub sounds as much.
Chilchuck is the closest thing to a mob boss we've seen so far in the DunMeshi universe

I really like how you cant hate or dislike any character in the series. Mickbell scene gossiping with Chilchuck really clear it that the group doesnt dislike laios group anymore (since kabru already told them that laios doesnt do anything that he feel guilty rom reading laios expression). Hell cant event dislike the antagonist crazy mage since he is doing all that coz traumatized by his prev master dead
