Another benefit: No paper cuts! 😂 But seriously, I'm a physical person too, but I've been enjoying digital manga quite a bit lately. I've got a real storage space crisis going on, so that's no small part of it, but it's just nice and convenient.

I was a crunchyroll user years ago (when they became a non pirate site, that’s when I heard about them) and due to work, family, and other RL commitments I had a very limited window to watch anime. The comments were helpful to me at least when I was trying to decide what I wanted to watch. Now I stick to the free sites like Tubi, Retro Crush, as well as the you tube channels like TMS and Viz for example.

Today is my birthday, so it’s extra awesome that you uploaded a video today. It feels like a gift. 😅 Great video!

Thanks for the heads up on the manga, especially ones I'm not familiar with. And I feel like those age/gender descriptors seem so outdated. For years shonen/shojo manga has strived to be inclusive to adults. And just as shounen enjoys a massive female fan base, the flipside has also been true with shoujo. (Fruits Basket, Sailor Moon & Host Club for example are hugely popular with us GUYS!) 😎

Collecting physical media has always been a bit irrational, and as the late Charlie Munger said "we have a moral reaponsibility to be rational." But yeah the mindset shift is inevitable since if space gets scarce enough the physical media may actually have negative utility and one could pay not to take in any more, after all isn't that what people paying for public storage is? Manga are less bad than the other physical medias IMO but the problem with books is they are very slowly burning and this can be slowed but never stopped.

I've always struggled adjusting to the digital manga world. I recently was introduced through a Viz Media free trial, as well as purchasing all 34 volumes of Attack on Titan, (& the 17 volumes of its prequel series "Before the Fall.") There are certainly perks digitally, like being able to auto save your spot or enlarging to see details/small text easier! (I'm still on team physical though lol!) 🤣

First I thought you gave up on physical manga, but then you made sure (with a really angry frown-- >>>:[[[[) I realised you didn't gave up. Got a collection mix here aswell of physical and digital, but lack of space is making sure I can't expand the way I want to; and it's a good thing for me. :D

Sometimes I’ll buy a book in both physical and digital if I really like it, so I can always keep it with me on my phone but also have it on my shelf. But most of the time I only buy physical.

I'm the same as you. Like I do enjoy reading digital manga and light novels but, in my heart I'm mainly a physical manga and light novel collector 😃

I've been reading digital for 2 years now and now reading on a modded Fire Max 11 and one of those nice cases that has the swivel so you can stand it both vertical and horizontal and it's reader's paradise fr. Can't front at all. I was stupid for being opposed for so long. I just needed the right setup. Even my Warhammer 40000 books look amazing on a proper tablet with good sharpness and DPI.

Those library apps are a game changer! I got a tablet exclusively for manga reading (Boox Go 10.3. Pricey but very nice). There's no backlight so the images are more "immediate" and paper-like. I love how you have an entire shelf just for shoujo, haha. I agree it feels gross buying single chapters. I only do that for one series, Tower Dungeon, on K Manga because I want to support the author. But it's getting a physical release too next year.

I'm almost exclusively digital - never really got into collecting though. Digital is so much cheaper and so much easier to explore/read samples for new manga/etc.

been reading entire series via libby for years now. it's super legit! not to mention SJ (and other digital apps for entire libraries). great video topic to get the word out there!

Before Junji Ito, I was reading Hideshi Hino.

"Cojima", blimey! Reminds me of a handful of books from the mid 2000's that comics from around the world. One was a war book with SGT Rock alongside the prototype for Barefoot Gen, called "I Saw It!". There was even a British comic in there! Those usually get ignored if they aren't called 2000AD or Misty.

New Yorkers are tough minded and can enjoy these Halloween contents but as an HSP I find them stressful. 😓 Though I will say if anyone needs an excellent horror movie to watch different from the played out franchises 1979s Phantasm is really great. 🙂 Nice review and your eyebrows were extra animated and archy in this one, I really love those.

I bought and read “Uncanny” the Junji Itou memoir / horror manga tip book. It is STELLAR! So so good. Definitely recommend 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I think you mentioned this manga before. Yeah, the first thing I noticed was that the art looked like a more detailed version of the drifting classroom mangaka’s art. I will have to check this one out.

I wish Junji Ito would release another book along the line of Yon & Mu. It was such a fun look into his life with cats and of course his artistic ability to make mundane activities and facial expressions to look horrifying.

Hi paisen, my favorite thing was definitely the simple yet cool naruto 25th anniversary posters you got! I just started reading naruto on the shonen app and am at the last stage of the chunin exams! Im a big one piece fan..obviously(chopper) i loved the show so much i got a tattoo on my arm when i wasnt even half way done with the show! Growing up with "M.U.S.C.L.E." (keshi) figures, I didn't realize that they were originally gacha machine prizes in Japan! They were notable as that early taste of anime style in America at a time when it wasn't as "normal." 😎

My favorite item was definitely the Naruto fan! Such a cool design,especially Naruto's playful expression. I love pt.1 Naruto so much 😭
