I can't believe how quickly our planet is coming along now. We've got trees and flowers and it's all so pretty! Today I take some advice from a friend and hit the superalloy jackpot. We do some building, send up a couple of mapping rockets that make our lives much easier, and explore a lava biome. And maybe we die once. No big deal.

I'm very pleased to say that we are nearing the end of this star path. Today we get as much done as we can but we have some of the trickier duties (mine three shiny topaz? no thank you!) so we get a little stuck at times. Not to worry - before long we'll be back to decorating and tidying and leveling up our friends.

I took everything I learned from failing the prologue last time and put it to use today. Frostbreak only to points of interest or when you need more housing. Set up extraction districts slower, making sure that you set up the ones you most need. Pay attention to the needs of the Wanderers. And do we survive the whiteout? I suppose you'll see!

I woke up super early and feeling ready to go, so let's knock out as much of this star path as we can! Of course there's tons of mining and a little fishing to do (it is the true nature of the star path) but thankfully not too much! And we're really starting to wind this star path down. At least it won't be forever! I don't have such a tough time with winter allergies thankfully. I'm thinking I'll do dungeons on alternating levels. You get some pretty good perks if you don't do them, but you can also get some good loot if you do.

Every new development is so exciting. I had such an urge to start a new save that I could play when I'm not playing for my channel! I bought the DLC that came out yesterday just to scratch that itch. Now I play the DLC on my own time so I can save the new discoveries on the main planet for when I'm hanging out here.

Awww. Sucks that you died. But you did find the Super Alloy under the sand fall. I thought you weren't going to see it. You missed several when you first went into the falls. I have to admit I cringed when you dropped all that aluminum. Unless you've found a whole lot more than I ever did, I needed pretty much every little bit I could find. Congrats on finding the Obsidian.
I've got aluminum coming from an ore extractor now so I'm just absolutely awash in it. I am glad I went back to the sand falls! There was so much super alloy in there, I'm not surprised I missed some on my first pass.
@@Controller-Cassie That aluminum extractor makes all the difference. I never found any critical ores when I placed several extractors around the map unfortunately.

This is far more involved then the prologue. I don't remember the first Frostpunk all that well, but it seems very different from it as well. Looking good so far though!
It's vastly different from the first game! Not as difficult but so far just as fun, and the mechanics are almost completely disparate.
After having to work the entire weekend and today I finally get to start my belated weekend and I can't think of a better way than with an hour long Cassie video creating a dystopian city. Thanks for the video Cassie.

It was a great recommendation, I'm having a lot of fun with this game!
That's interesting that you had a limited amount of horizontal space to build on. Makes it so you have to be a little more focused on your build. I don't recall all the different sorcerer types, but suspect I would lean towards herbalist. I used to grow a variety of herbs. I was interested in the different properties of those I grew and ones I'd find in the wild.
If I could choose I'd go necromancer but in terms of practical application to my real life I'd probably be an herbalist too. I have quite the green thumb.

On the topic of "sending regards....." In d&d, I once played a human sorcerer (her back story, she was a bronze dragon whole was true polymorphed into a human w/ amnesia). First adventure I got this amulet from some demon lord. I was like wth am I supposed to do with this? Whatever, tossed it in my bag of holding, wrote it on my inventory list and forgot about it. Cue several months later, we're running a 5e conversion to red hand of doom module. We are traveling through an adult red dragon's lair and come across a fane (aka alter) to tiamat, the queen of dragons! Her cult had destroyed my family so I reached into my bag, grabbed the amulet of asmodeus, the guy who had imprisoned her in the 2nd level of the abyss, and said "asmodeus sends his regards" and that's when the red dragon returned.
lol I love that! Tiamat was like "WHO says WHAT? Oh no no no."
You could Jack's house as a stand-in for the wicked witch's house.
I think that's a fabulous idea and I may do it! I'm just annoyed that the Forgotten's house is right in the middle of everything and can't be moved.

When it comes to those "add x-number of decorations to the blahblahblah biome" tasks, I always remove however many blocks of a path to meet the number it says, then put them back--all without having to exit first and go back in--and it works every time. I, too, was going to be intentional about decorations for those tasks, but decided my deficient attention span wouldn't let me. lol! Have a great day, and thanks for the video!!

Motion sickness sucks. Always best to cut things short before it gets really bad. That may have been the place I got super lost in. There's a few of them that have similar interiors. Well worth going in for the loot you'll find. But once you're more prepared. I swear every time you run along the base of the sand fall there's something more there. I see little glimpses of what I believe is still there. Could just be my old eyes 🤣
lol I'll have to go back! I'm getting very close to breathable atmosphere so I will be able to explore for so much longer.

@@Controller-Cassie not from your videos, I sometimes get a spell of vertigo from just existing. Sudden movements and I just get really dizzy and need to sit. Honestly, probably 90-95% of my weekday yt viewing is while I'm at work, so I'm just listening.
