I had a questions, a good portion of the documentary delves into the racism inequities and the lawsuit relating to that with the resulting new position of VP of Diversity I believe he was called. My question, although you worked at an A&F in an Asian country, did you ever experience racism or see racism in action among your co-workers? We don’t have ANF in Thailand and I remember I was never interested in the brand anyway. I remember going to the shop in Singapore around 2012 I guess. I don’t like anything in the store . But I love lululemon I ended up one legging from Lululemon. 😅

My experience was positive, and I was buying from another continent

I had a pair boots but went back to sneakers just more comfy doc martens are great but the style not for me.

When you first hired to the company, you already a grown man and wise. But still knowing all manipulation or unhealthy competition or even treatment going on, you were still continue to do what you doing during that time. So what the problem? Did anyone lock your leg or hand so that you don’t go anywhere??? NO, but still you continue to contribute as part of the A&F. Everyone has a choice, and you choose fame and you choose to stay! Say what you want. The marketing strategy was genius. They appeal to the ego and vanity of the buyers and the staff.

But they also understand, that there are plenty of models waiting to get in so they can replace you easily. In the most scenarios unless your metabolism is a total mess, - you can control your pimples with what you eat, what you drink, what you are putting in your body. as easy as that. Plus proper skin care routine, enough sleep and so on. But where I am getting with it, that model agency knows exactly that your pimple even if it is not visible, - it will be "felt" by customers. They will feel that something is wrong and agency is cheating by retouching your photo. So they are trying to get the best out of it. Which I am fully supporting.

I remember shopping there at Abercrombie and Fitch back in the 2010s when I was still in graduate school and finishing. The hiring standards were by no means fair to begin with if they were recruiting based simply on looks, but that is just a normal part of fashion brands. Nobody wants to hire average Joes and Janes to create any sense of relatability, and later on, as students of mine in Japan years later said themselves, even the 'free size' of these brands and others is not really that 'free size' because they are based on the premise of being at the most--or worst-- a certain size (slim or athletic fit at least).
