Yes. The character description for Hans might be a bit lost in translation from his Danish name, Klods Hans. It is not meant as a description of him as being clumsy, as in awkward in movement or in handling things but more in that he lacks in education and common courtesy for the standards of the time.

First of all Thank you for your kind words! The original version of the Swan Princess is The Swan Lake. A ballet by Pjotr Ilitj Tjajkovskij. I am not sure how to translate it to story reading. But I would love to do it if I ever figure it out

Beat the devil in his own game? What are you on about? There is nothing wrong with your ego

- The devil was just a tack on for faith to get more numbers as a lot of people didn't vibe with that whole one single god when they were told that said single god was both responsible for good crops and also killing their wife off in last winters storm. They needed a bad guy so people could have a simpler diametric of good and evil. Somehow it worked despite them still saying that oh yeah God also made the devil and is kind of responsible for everything depraved anyway but still, that hoofed firey guy still is great for gassing up the faithful so they can feel like they have some great evil to overcome or as you say, make their betch.
