    Hey there, I am an international student living in Canada. New to Investing. I am planning to buy vfv. I will need the money after 2-3 years. Is that a good call or not ?

    • @thecloudinvestor777
      @thecloudinvestor777 3 дня назад

      Hey! Thanks for watching. VFV is a solid ETF that tracks the S&P 500, which has historically performed well over the long term. However, since you’ll need the money in 2-3 years, you should consider the risks-markets can be volatile in the short term. If you might need the funds soon, you may want to explore safer options like GICs or high-interest savings accounts for stability. Always good to do your research and assess your risk tolerance before investing. Hope that helps!

    • @thecloudinvestor777
      @thecloudinvestor777 9 дней назад

      Yes! You don’t need a college degree to become an AI engineer. Many companies value skills and experience over formal education. You can start by learning Python, machine learning, and deep learning through online courses (like Coursera, Udemy, or RUclips). Build projects, contribute to open-source, and get hands-on experience with AI tools like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Earning certifications (like AWS AI/ML, Google TensorFlow, or Microsoft AI) can also help boost your credibility. Keep learning, building, and networking, and you can land high-paying AI roles!

      @@joshuakasumovic That’s awesome! Start small projects. - 6-9 months: Build more complex AI projects, contribute to open-source, and learn cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for AI deployment. - 9-12 months: Apply for internships, freelance gigs, or entry-level roles. Keep improving your portfolio. Within a year, you can be job-ready if you stay consistent!

    Are the public certificates recommended for IoT devices?

    • @thecloudinvestor777
      @thecloudinvestor777 10 дней назад

      Great question! Public certificates from AWS Certificate Manager (ACM) are mainly used for securing websites and applications over HTTPS. For IoT devices, AWS recommends using AWS IoT Core with its built-in certificate-based authentication, which supports mutual TLS (mTLS). You can use private certificates from AWS Private CA or other IoT-specific certificate authorities for better security and control. Let me know if you’d like a detailed video on this!

      Hey! The error happens because AWS now requires Launch Templates instead of Launch Configurations in some regions. - Create a Launch Template: Go to the EC2 Dashboard, create a Launch Template with your instance details. - Update Beanstalk: In your environment settings, under Instances, select the new Launch Template. Apply the changes, and it should work. Let me know if you need more help.

      @ Issue is resolved now. Other resources can't initiate connections to the Lambda through these ENIs. If private access to AWS services is needed, a VPC endpoint is required. Let me know if you have more questions!

      Hi! Great decision to learn AWS Solution Architect! Start with the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification and use platforms like AWS Skill Builder, A Cloud Guru, or RUclips for study resources. Practice hands-on using the AWS Free Tier with services like EC2, S3, and VPC. Joining AWS communities in India can also help you stay motivated and get support. Best of luck!

    I have the AWS CCP/Advanced networking and MS AZ-500 and SC-100 certification so the CCSP seems like a logical next step to me. Thinking of getting the complete guide (book) for indepth topic coverage and then combine that with the Pete Zerger study cram vids.

      Sounds like you're on a solid path! With your AWS CCP, Advanced Networking, and Microsoft security certifications, the CCSP is definitely a logical next step to deepen your cloud security expertise. Getting the official guide for in-depth coverage is a great idea-it'll help you master the exam domains. Pairing it with Pete Zerger's cram videos is a smart move for reinforcing key concepts. Best of luck on your CCSP journey

    Hello Harsh, I have worked many years in aviation and now I’m looking for options to switch career. Can you please guide me step by step how should I get started and what course i should get started with? I have no background on IT. I really appreciate your input on this. Thank you

      @thecloudinvestor777 2 месяца назад

      Thanks for your comment! Switching to IT is a great choice. Here's how to get started: - Learn IT Basics: Begin with fundamentals like operating systems (Linux), networking, and databases. - Understand Cloud Basics: Take AWS's free Cloud Practitioner Essentials course to learn about cloud computing. - Get Hands-On: Create a free AWS account and explore basic services like EC2 (virtual servers) and S3 (storage). - Earn the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CCP): It’s beginner-friendly and gives a solid foundation. - Practice Projects: Apply what you learn by building simple projects in AWS. You’ve got this! Let me know if you need more guidance.

    I followed the steps. when i use the domain URL i get error: The connection has timed out. The environment is healthy. The Ec2 instance is stable and running.

    • @thecloudinvestor777
      @thecloudinvestor777 2 месяца назад

      It sounds like the issue might be related to your Elastic Load Balancer (ELB) or your security group settings. Here are a few things you can check: - Load Balancer Configuration: Ensure that the ELB is correctly forwarding requests to the EC2 instance. Check the listener rules in the ELB and confirm that the target group has healthy instances. - Security Group Settings: Verify that the security group attached to your EC2 instance and/or the ELB allows inbound traffic on the required ports (e.g., port 80 for HTTP or port 443 for HTTPS). - Route 53 or DNS Settings: If you're using a custom domain, make sure the domain is correctly mapped to the Elastic Beanstalk environment. - Network ACLs and Subnet Configuration: Double-check your VPC network configurations to ensure there are no restrictions on incoming or outgoing traffic. - EC2 Logs: Check the EC2 instance logs (e.g., /var/log/httpd/access_log or /var/log/nginx/access.log) to see if requests are reaching the instance and whether there are any errors. If you've already checked these and the issue persists, let me know with more details about your setup, and I’ll do my best to assist further!

      You're very welcome! I completely understand where you're coming from. CISSP is a challenging certification, and the depth it covers can be overwhelming in a short period. A one-month course is a great start, but supplementing it with additional resources like practice exams, the (ISC)² official study guide, and perhaps a bit of hands-on experience in each domain will really solidify your understanding. Stick with it, and don’t hesitate to take the time you need to feel fully prepared. You’ve got this!

      Absolutely, it's never too late to start! At 26, you have plenty of time to build a successful career in IT. Many high-paying IT jobs focus more on skills and experience than on age or degrees. If you’re motivated and willing to learn, you’ll find lots of opportunities in fields like cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data analytics. Dive in and don’t look back-you’re right on time to achieve your goals

    Hi Arif thanks for wonderful tips right now i am doing the job as a frontend developer I want to transition into DevOps therefore I joined BootCamp in my local town where I can learn AWS, GCP, and Azure and last year I did cloud practitioner of AWS by my own self now days I am learning cloud automation using terraform and ansible I am stuck which type of projects I am practice which helps me to get jobs in this indutry

    • @thecloudinvestor777
      @thecloudinvestor777 3 месяца назад

      Hi! Thanks for the feedback! With your frontend and AWS Cloud Practitioner background, you're on a solid path to DevOps. For hands-on projects, try: 1. Terraform IaC Project: Use Terraform to set up an AWS environment (e.g., VPC, EC2, S3) for a simple app. 2. Ansible Config Management: Configure a multi-tier app across environments (dev, test, prod). 3. CI/CD Pipeline: Set up a basic CI/CD pipeline with AWS CodePipeline or Jenkins, integrating Terraform for deployment. These projects will build essential skills for DevOps roles. Keep it up, and best of luck!

    I setup a VPC with a security group with an IP whitelist, just like you show, and it doesn't seem to honor the security group AT ALL.. i can call from outside it no problem even though the configuration page clearly shows my security group rules right there in the lambda.

    • @thecloudinvestor777
      @thecloudinvestor777 3 месяца назад

      Hi! Thanks for watching! If your Lambda is ignoring the security group rules, it could be because the function isn’t properly attached to the VPC. Ensure the Lambda function is configured with the correct VPC, subnet, and security group settings. Once Lambda is connected to the VPC, the security group will enforce the IP whitelist. Also, check that the subnet has a route to a NAT Gateway or Internet Gateway only if needed, as this can impact security group behavior. Let me know if this helps troubleshoot!

      @thecloudinvestor777 I think it's because I'm using a function url. That seems to bypass the security group completely

    Hey, first of all: thanks for the video! It's very clear and purposeful. One thing came to my mind and I could not answer this question: if I'm planning to use a Laravel application (with API and some Jobs) it's better to use a Web Server or a Worker environment? The primary app's purpose is to serve API, with extra jobs that run on some hits. Thank you again for the video!

      Go with Web server

    • @thecloudinvestor777
      @thecloudinvestor777 3 месяца назад

      Hey! Thanks so much for the feedback - I'm glad you found the video helpful! For your Laravel application, if the primary purpose is to serve an API, a Web Server environment would generally be the better fit, as it’s optimized for handling HTTP requests. You could then configure background jobs separately, either by using a dedicated Worker environment or by setting up queue workers within the same environment depending on your load and resource needs. This way, you get efficient request handling for your API while keeping jobs running smoothly. Let me know if that helps or if you have more questions - happy to help!

    Elastic Beanstalk application was created successfully, but the EC2 instance that should be associated with it hasn't launched

    • @thecloudinvestor777
      @thecloudinvestor777 3 месяца назад

      Hey! Glad to hear the application was created successfully, but sorry to hear about the EC2 instance issue. This can happen if there are configuration issues in the Elastic Beanstalk environment. I’d recommend checking a few things: - Make sure there are no security group or IAM role restrictions blocking instance creation. - Check your EC2 instance limits in the region where you’re deploying - sometimes hitting the limit can prevent new instances from launching. - Take a look at the Elastic Beanstalk logs and event logs to see if there are any errors during the environment creation. Let me know if this helps, or feel free to ask for more troubleshooting tips!
