One thing to keep in mind when talking to ADG is that the 6UM would be Kentucky illegal on elk. There’s a .270 diameter minimum for elk and while some people may not like it the law doesn’t care. So utilizing it on a whitetail or a black bear might be pretty feasible in Kentucky but not on the elk.

Concerning the ADG bipod track spike feet, logger boot spikes are the same but made of steel. Spelled caulk but said "cork", there are carbide corks also.

Might as well build a 6/378 wby and a 32” bull barrel I bet one could get a 108/109 to 4500+fps Don’t know what twist would be required to keep bullets from blowing up though. Barrel life might only be 3/400 rounds though😂

I understand that this is over a year old but just listening to it( in my dozer at work). I was getting ready for a mule deer hunt so i was verifying my zero and dope. Went through my ranges 1-500 yards with 1 moa targets. Everything i thought was correct until i dialed back down to reconfirm my 100 yard zero and magically was 1-1/2 moa high and right. This was a athlon midas tac. I changed scope on Friday for my hunt starting on monday. Hunt was successful and going to recheck this weekend at the range i use.

when Robby sees ffp mil hashes like the nx8 dmx reticle and has that Swaro beeno ballistics feature turned on he will see the light, he ain't gonna dial, simple longer spaced hashes than moa, form will show him, no reading glasses required to see a turret, he's gonna be a reticle guy so he just needs to see the focused solution in beano and then in focused scope, for 0-600 precision will be hard to beat mil, and he is gonna be as fast as he ever was and maybe quicke as the right reticle gives you the numbers of mils beside hashes to not have to count (actual numbers like 2/4/6/8 etc in the reticle beside the hash) to get the right hash and he's no different on base 10 gapping between his 100 yard hashes now with how mil outputs in base 10 so that reference stays same, not to mention his ballistic solutions will be accurate for the atmospherics he's actually at, not just where he chases mules, he can now run down the hill and shoot some antelope without worrying about a thing, speed will go up, precision will go up, he's a hard sell though...gotta show him, and Ryan on that rutting antelope, he could see that half mil in reticle that you clicked in also, and if it was a miss as your's could have been, he adjusts spatially from there and send another, do you do same when you're dial up guess doesn't work or do you dial the correction in? if his goal is to watch things happen...he's gonna come round to the ffp mil as best option imo, follow your gut Robby, stay reticle, that is where you're headed, save the trial and error ;)

the old man got into horses for the hunting, then that life took over, ropin, breakin, teamin on wagon, packing in camps, then the mules came, all the same stuff, teaming, roping, 17 hand stuff also, has a great story riding into a ropin event and the mule just let out a beller that turned the place upside down, he just turned around and rode back out, the wrecks though, I never got along with the horse stuff but recall some special gear for the thin skin of mules but they were strong, sure footed and stamina champs, also evil, males specifically, they hold grudges, and likely to hurt ya, but he no longer really cared much about hunting side of things, was all in on the horse life...just a warning, he did finally come back around to the horses after enough abuse though, good luck ;)

A podiatrist or ortho trained by the companies for whom they sell...only ever sold me so called medical and orthopaedic equipment. This doesn't sound a bit like either. Fortunately I discovered this by accident myself when I started wearing steger mukluks simply for warmth and subsequently experienced foot, knee and back relief. Any of those professionals could have saved me more than a decade of pain and disability with an outcome based model. That would have been on them personally to develop however. I'm changing my rifle system by the way.

The controled round feed goes back to a timr when we didnt have the temoerature stable powders that we have today. And under heavy recoil the cartridges in the magazine the bullets would seat themselves back in the case cousing compressef loads creating high pressure stuck cases in the chamber

As you said CRF is more expensive and more difficult to make so many builders don’t offer it and then don’t recommend it. The reason CRF is associated with dangerous game is because many guides in Africa won’t allow you to hunt with a push feed since they have seen clients die though it could be because rem700 had failures with the extractor with larger calibers so now point may be moot. CRF is smooth enough and coupled with 3 position safety on firing pin safer than trigger safety. As for the double barrel most are probably double trigger and most people don’t have enough experience with it under pressure to use effectively.

There's so many hunting shows that take a plane to another state or country and once they land they check to see if there rifle is still on zero. Why is that did the luggage boy do a drop test 😆. If I'm spending $3000 dollars my scope better hold zero from a drop.
