Status updates are sent by the PBX. So what this means is your PBX does not support BLF status updates in the same way that ours does. Modern Telecom PBX will send 4 different statuses to the BLF lights. Green for available, red for busy, red flashing for ringing and orange for DND. But you would have to be using our PBX service for these features to work as demonstrated.

Through a Modern Telecom pbx account we can sync your Google contacts to any phone. But directly on the phone you can not because there are no Google services applications preloaded on the default firmware.

@@moderntel Thanks, I was referring to the various "android phones".. or rather "android-like".. I see that many have integrated Microsoft team, but not the google contacts.. the ones that the user has in his personal phone.

That is correct. This phone model has been superseded by model V67 which now has the camera built in

This is a PBX feature we offer, it's not something the phone can do on its own, all the button is doing is toggling a feature on the PBX which redirects calls.

The X6U-V2 is actually the same spec phone as the V1 but with an updated faster processor and newer Bluetooth chip version. However you might be using an outdated PBX or software version that does not support provisioning the new version devices.

Yes the X6U a great switchboard phone for a small business. If your a larger business with 100+ extensions we use the x210 instead.

It all depends how it's configured. We make the lights green when the extension is available and red when it's unavailable.

In our case, click to dial is handled by a browser plugin which remote controls the phone. The browser plugin is part of our hosted pbx offering.

We would program this either on a speed dial button or you can press the transfer button on the phone and then type the 10 digit cell phone number you want to transfer too followed by the transfer button again. Depending on how many simultaneous calls your pbx will allow it's possible to see multiple calls on the screen of the phone, we have tested up to 4 calls and it splits the screen into rows of calls. However, in high volume calling environments we usually set our customers up with a complimentary call que which will automatically put inbound calls on hold until you are finished with your active call and then our pbx will send the next call in que to you automatically so you are not having to juggle this manually from the phone. If a PBX, which one ? I've been trying to get a I64 to preview the video on a I53W and V67 concurrently..

On small jobs we use PBX on large jobs we use HotSpot mode.

Using action plans you can get video preview on more then one device at a time.

@@moderntel - thanks, I saw that as well, also very useful and informative. Yes, that is pretty much exactly what I want, but you didn’t assign those extensions through the Yealink menu correct? What I am assuming is, that when you are speaking about the extensions in the video, they were assigned through the VOIP provider as additional lines and not the phone itself.. basically requiring you to purchase a separate extension for each device. We currently do not need to have separate extensions assigned to each cordless on the Panasonic. They are simply recognized as additional handsets on the TGP-550. When you register additional cordless handsets to this Panasonic phone, the handsets just get assigned a spot, in order of 1-6. Through the phone system, it’s only a single extension (101 for example), but all phones can be used to receive calls. Instead of call waiting, the next available handset rings similar to a call group through the VOIP provider. If I want to transfer a call to a cordless phone from the corded base unit, I simply push the assigned slot button and hang up. Similar on the cordless phones, you can name each slot, open the menu, select the slot you want to transfer to and send it. No additional extensions needed.

I see no reason why you couldn't assign the same extension number to each handset. And you are correct, we don't do any setup on the menus of the phones themselves because we pre configure everything for our customers on the pbx via a template which then provisions all settings to the phones.

The point of this setup is to keep the data on Azure and it is used by multiple users and shared across multiple users seamlessly. The only time it leaves the VM is for hourly backups which are sent to to an Azure Vault.
