Love the design. But there are literally thousands of iems with this same driver set up. I wonder how these will make this set stand out sonicilly as much as it does asthetically?

Some of the first bands to use custom in ears are the Grateful Dead and Stevie Wonder in around 1991 1992. As a drummer myself iems have a huge advantage over speakers especially in bad sounding venues

Awesome review. Michael's videos are great, and I always appreciate his honest opinions. He also listens to metal, so his tuning choices are invaluable to the hobby. There are too many IEMs on the market that were tuned in a way where they only sound good with 1 genre or a few genres of music. Metal is one of the genres that is ignored far too often.

Was listening to my shortbus modded Olina's at work today and lo and behold the man himself appears! Big fan.

Stop shilling! Be constructive. The EST's are poorly implemented and the 5 - 8K region degrades this IEM from being the 'go to' below $1K. In addition, detail and resolution was shockingly average. Unable to hear many elements from Jeff Mills- 'Sound, Sight & Space' compared to the Symphonium Audio Meteor.

Grateful to have Michael in the hobby!!! Wish him every success....

Thanks for the interview James! I honestly had a blast chatting.

Symphony ears is a DIY from a college kid with a 3d printer. I took a shot to help out an up and commer and was pleasantly supprised with the build quality and sound quality for the price. I will probably do the same for Michael depending on the price but to me its fun to explore the efforts of start up DIY efforts usually one man operations. I also have the Thor Moljinar Mk2 which is also DIY from Singapore and is one of my favorite single dynamic driver iems. I believe Elysian Aucustics was also started as a DIY one man operation, so best of luck and I look foward to seeing the Anomalie in the future.

Your talk of the sub-bass roll off and relating it to a speaker in a sealed enclosure took me back to high school. 😁 Had 2 friends with awesome Car Audio systems who personified the "Sealed vs Ported" Subwoofer box discussion. Great Video!
