The Marvel comics universe has something like 9,000+ characters in their catalog. In other words, they have plenty of ground to cover before double-dipping into heroes that are too similar to existing ones on the roster. NetEase also stated that they want to encourage a healthy balance between franchises (Avengers, X-Men, Guardians, Fantastic Four, Spider-verse, etc.). I think that's a wise decision. More variety = more fun.

It's really ridiculous thinking that Carnage can be a Venom skin, fans who think that's a good approach are just inpatient and foolish. For now maybe game has too many Spider people, but it will change in future, look for example Contest of Champions, they are handling it pretty well, they have as many Spider people as you wish, yeah sure it's a fighting mobile game, but if you actually work and not choose to do the easy way you will get there. Hell you can even ask fans how all those characters can have different abilities and playstyles and they would come up with most creative and interesting concepts. Just wait until it's right time for your favorite individual character, not the cheap skin because "I wAnT it riGhT nOw"

Personally i dont mind and even prefer if the different spider man variants will be just skins just with unique animations or something. Theres just too many spidermans to add to one game. It also doesnt make sense from a gameplay perspective since i assume their abilities will be pretty similar and also imagine getting into a game and being against all these spidermans in one team not knowing who the fuck youre up against

The more skins there are in Marvel Rivals, the happier I'll be!

While the game could use more villains, we should get villains from other heroes, if I were to choose a villain from Spider-Man I would either pick Sandman or Green Goblin, but I think Green Goblin would add to many flying characters as we are getting Doom which is already a good start. For Spider-Man we can easily just get some recolors or alternate skins, I won't lose sleep over not having a new character for 2099 or Noir, or even Miles for they can just be an alternate skin with a Rivals twist. Also please Symbiote Suit Spider-Man it's too iconic, I know we have Venom but c'mon it'd be so cool.
