There is a kit on eBay for 4-400 but I did mine for about 175. Look for a 110v servo sewing machine motor on eBay. Then after you get it mic the output shaft and get a pulley. Figure out the mount and I put the lever (throttle) on a sheet metal box where the old electronics were. Wasn’t too hard. I think I have a video on it

I finally worked all the bugs out of that car. I put a FI tech fuel injection system on it too. The supercharger always pushed gas out of the accelerator pump.

I built the exhaust/intake manifold out of mandral bends and a megaphone from speedway motors. Everything else is pretty available on eBay

That’s the steam hose. There are adapters on eBay.

Parts are pretty available. It’s not hard to work on. I had the cam reground for performance. Adjustable valve train. I ported the block too. I found a 288 head to raise compression. I can’t wait to drive it!!

@@Motorhead_Mark It's been sitting with the head off for quite a while so surface rust in bores will be the first hurdle. Can't wait to jump into it. It's a rare beast.

Mine had stuck rings, so I took it apart. New rings weren’t expensive and the rod bearings had 2k clearance so I re used. Never took the crank out

Hello it’s the 110v 750w 1hp. There’s one on eBay for 141.00. Game changer. I had to buy pulley and I got a few belts since they take 2-3 weeks

I’m thinking a u joint behind the firewall so the shaft comes out straight. Then run a chain over to a pillowblock then under the motor to the shaft to steering box😎

I went w the ar5 transmission. But hydraulic is the way to go

@@Motorhead_Mark it's common. I don't want crazy power though, ls is just cheaper replacement than my 4cyl 2.8 even with an ECU and harness. I'm thinking the 4.8 iron block for cost savings and reliability. But we all want the 6.0 lol. Also just need an adapter plate, no bell housing.

You could probably use a t5 on a 327 if it’s not super crazy. I think the ar5 with the large input shaft is stronger than they say

I believe the flywheel and pressure plate for gm is compatible with gen 1 and 3-4. Then find a disk with the right spline and diameter

I used the one from the sewing machine motor. I just screwed to to the top of the sheet metal box I made

@Motorhead_Mark I also have this motor.I want to use a potentiometer.can I take the board out of its box and connect the potentiometer?

I don’t know, I took the spring of the speed control in the box. It works fine so I haven’t messed with it. But let me know if you find something better

Yea it’s fun, I did some coolant pipes on my flathead model a. I could see the metal fuse together, no leaks. With MiG welding you have to keep moving other wise too much filler builds up
