what you are teaching is "Futurism", in other words, a false teaching. All one has to do is look at the last 100 years of this teaching and it shows the narrative changes as current events change. Chapters 1-19 of Revelations has already been fulfilled. Those passages deal with the judgment that happened to nation of Israel back in 70AD. With the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple, the Old Covenant ended, and the start of the New Covenant.

You were saying in the video that people don’t like talking about this because they want to have families. I’m saying people don’t like hearing this because it’s as a doctor and not pertaining to your specific video. We don’t know when. Christians have used soon for a long time. The Disciples assumed Jesus was coming back in their generation. How do you know that Jesus Christ is coming like a freight train? With bells and whistles and steam and a schedule on the bulletin board? How do you know he isn’t coming like a thief in the night? Christians around World War II thought that Hitler was the antichrist and that we were all going to be wrapped it up before having to fight. if you’re buying to the fourth turning we are in one now. Can you be saying this is wonderful but Jesus has blessed our country and we have turned back to him just as it says in the Bible. Often times Christians will say Jesus is coming back soon! We don’t have to really bad with very much! It’s a bad doctrine across-the-board. Christians would do a lot better if we spent more time in soup kitchens and last time saying well Jesus was just kind of you know rapturous maybe next week or something like that.

The problem I have with people saying Jesus is coming soon is false prophecy. Only God himself knows. You not being God have absolutely no idea. And yet you’re kind has some sort of certainty or hidden knowledge.

This whole message is an incredibly sad perversion of the text of James, the whole of Scripture, and the Gospel itself... You apparently make no distinction between one's _Salvation_ -- which is a FREE GIFT of God, given quite apart from any human works (and Scripture _really couldn't_ be more explicitly clear on this matter) -- and one's post-Salvation _Service_ in furtherance of the Gospel.... between the ROOT (Salvation), and the FRUIT (Service)! These two separate concepts get conflated into a giant mess of "Jesus-flavored _religion..."_ Salvation is _EASY;_ Service, and being a disciple, is _HARD!_ There is ONE -- and _ONLY_ ONE -- Book in all of Scripture which claims to be written for the express purpose of Saving the un-Saved reader. That Book is the _Gospel of John._ And NOT ONCE is any other precondition given for Salvation, than simple _belief!_ Over and over and over and over again, John states that BELIEF is the one sole prerequisite to Salvation -- NOT a "change of life," or any other human efforts. John doesn't even use the word _"repent"/"repentance"_ a single time in his Gospel (if you doubt me, go consult a concordance). And -- AGAIN -- he very plainly states that the whole purpose of that Blessed Book he wrote, was that people may READ it, BELIEVE it, and thus BE SAVED!: >> _"but these are written, that ye might _*_BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God;_*_ and that _*_BELIEVING_*_ ye might have life through His Name."_ (John 20:31 -- John's purpose statement) *PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, **_LISTEN_** TO ME:* I understand why you say these things. That religious impulse runs very deep in Man, and you believe that by telling people this, they'll act in a way more pleasing to God. But the truth is not only is this COMPLETELY a counter-Scriptural perversion of the _pure, unalloyed Gospel,_ but it does untold DAMAGE -- and most especially to the more Spiritually-sensitive types, who are prone to focus on their own sins and shortcomings excessively, when Scripture tells us that we should instead see ourselves how HE now sees us: As completely forgiven Children, made pure through Jesus, and beings which shall spend Eternity _never sinning!_ It sometimes even drives these people to suicide! It may sound very good and very 'holy,' but it is in reality a horrible _perversion_ of the Gospel!! God is not a man, that He should lie. He is NOT disingenuous. He does not speak like Man, saying one thing when He really means another. *When God says that Salvation is an ABSOLUTELY FREE GIFT, given totally and completely apart from ANY human merits and "WITHOUT REPENTANCE" on His part (that is, without God deciding to later change His Mind), He ABSOLUTELY **_MEANS_** EXACTLY THAT!* Now... As for the James quote... James is NOT using the word "save" (Greek: _sozo)_ in the sense which we, as Christians, unfortunately always reflexively take it to mean -- that is, in the sense of being given Eternal Life. THAT much is already assured to his readers; he is writing to _Believers!_ The Greek word _sozo_ actually has about FIVE DIFFERENT meanings. This was written at the very start of the Church, well before James or anyone else was speaking _Christianese,_ like we do today. James is speaking of the Believer *being "safe" before the Judgement Seat of Christ* -- where Believers are assessed _for REWARDS!!!_ How do I know this? How can I say this, so confidently??? BECAUSE JAMES ACTUALLY _SAYS SO_ -- REPEATEDLY!!! _"But whoso looketh into the perfect _*_LAW OF LIBERTY,_*_ and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed."_ (James 1:25) He continues on in this vein, repeating the same idea later, right before he makes his most controversial (where people seem to think he _actually contradicts_ Paul!): _"So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be _*_JUDGED BY THE LAW OF LIBERTY."_* (James 2:12) DO YOU SEE IT NOW?! If not, ask yourself what this "Law of Liberty" is, and -- _most_ importantly -- *WHO* is judged according to it?!?!?! It certainly isn't the UN-Saved!! James is very clearly speaking of a BELIEVER -- a BLOOD-BOUGHT, SPIRIT _SEALED_ CHILD OF GOD -- being Judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ, where he is assessed for REWARDS! What else makes this abundantly clear?? How about the fact that James uses the word _"PROFIT"???_ >> _"What DOTH IT _*_PROFIT,_*_ my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?"_ What doth is _what??_ >> _"What doth it _*_PROFIT..."_* PROFITS are something which someone _EARNS!!!_ Well, do we "earn" Salvation?! Hopefully, you know this isn't the case -- though, for the speaker in the video, I am not so sure he'd agree... I truly hope and Pray you read this, and search it out for yourself. I have learned the hard way through trial and error that God teaches us through the Bible, that if we use things within a moderate balance most are beneficial. There are exceptions to every rule, due to every one being different and having unique tolerances to their body or other, external factors. Something like sniffing glue or fuel, just like 'hard drugs' is never a good idea. Plus, side effects of almost anything we ingest are to be considered prayerfully as you stated. Therefore, if a lost soul has no moral obligation to be wise or do good deeds will almost always self destruct, unless God is called upon to save them. I always share my experiences with others that are struggling and most importantly listen to what they are going through. In closing, I have been convicted to give up one vice every year since I was blessed with sobriety from drugs 15 years. Soda, alcohol, weed, cigarettes, etc. It is by the grace of God that I survived addiction and I readily agree that if you know people who have objections to use/eat certain things and you do it front of them, it is a sin to do these things, just as the Bible teaches examples of abstaining from food or drink. (1 Cor. 8:13) I agree with this truth of sober mindedness as I am learning how to drive an 18 wheeler and know the importance of driving safely to prevent accidents and injury.
