Elliott PI 25 April 2024 First run on the day
First run off the day around 1:00 after waiting all morning for the track to be dry enough for slicks. Got allocated to the white group (slowest), so lots of practice at passing traffic.

Need to stop going to the Island on public holidays. Very busy and got put into the white (slowest) group, then it was showers all day and about 16 degrees, so most of the time the track was declared no go if you had slicks. Only got two short runs, this was in second and a light shower came through, and it ended not so well. was headed for a lap around 1:58, probably ambitious for the conditio...

First run of the day, put it up here to demo the rear camera and mic. Had problems with the camera on the day, but it worked most of the way through the first run. Results are great, just need it to be reliable.

Second run after a ride through in the first session, red and green group combined. 2.4 sec faster than last ride day, first time out. Got down to 1:55.25 later in the day, so 3.45s faster overall today.

The session was jammed packed with first timers who were let out first. The experienced, and faster riders, caught them by Honda corner. Hmm, entertaining at the start of the first flying lap, and the start of the second flying lap come across a rider cruising in the middle of the track looking for his mates. Video quality is OK, bug on the screen, but microphone worked well on the rear camera. This was my second session, got down to a 2:06 in this session, finally got into the grove later in the day, but had a few GoPro camera overheating problems, so this is the only good recoding for the day. Best continuous lap was 2:06.74 - final split of the previous lap was 1.04s faster. He had it all to figure out. Awesome riding, great lap time. Short shifting to third after Lukey's and entering turn 12 in fourth might shave off another second, if you're feeling comfortable trying it
I was in that session as well on the SRAD. How nuts was that 1st corner. Was the most hectic day there for a while.

Really, and looking at your Sep 24 '22 vid you were doing 1:10 & 1:11 on your last 3 laps, if that is 10 sec faster then last track day you were doing 1:20s. In 21 Jan '23 vid you were doing 1:11 - 1:13. On the PanigaleV2 you're doing 1:17. I'm down at 1:11 bedding in the brakes and getting to know a new bike, but there is a vid on the channel of me doing a set of 1:07s and I'm 69. What's your excuse?
@agaracing4406 thanks for watching and the comprehensive debrief. My comment is not about laptimes. It's a ride day, not a race. My comment is about the safety of other riders in a fast group coming up on a rider bedding in brakes significantly slower than the group pace. Not that you need to know, but If you knew me, you'd know I hadn't ridden in 10 years when I took the V2 out, also why I dropped a group to green. I don't post all my track days or sessions champ and have done plenty of track days since January, so a bit quicker than your 67.... but if i'm still riding a 69 awesome. Just stay safe
Heyy mate! Have to agree with de76 about changing down groups as in this video that pace comparatively to the rest of the pack is just not there
Great footage and telemetry but I agree with the above..it's ultimately for your and everyone else's safety! I think I was getting my tyres changed during this run, otherwise I would have been riding out there with you. Before changing my tyres, I started the day in the green group and switched to the blue group thereafter. It's safer that way!
SPECTACULAR
I'm surprised to see full skirted fenders on a 1944. My understanding was that Indian did not make any bikes for the civilian market, but only military, police and other government agencies. The fenders supplied would have been open types to save on strategic materials.
