Hello! I’m Marlana Mucciarone and I teach high school biology in Ohio. I mostly make videos for my students to help them understand difficult content in Biology and to “flip” my classroom a little. I currently teach 10th grade Biology, 9th-10th grade Honors Biology, and 11th-12th grade Human Biology. I am also starting to add videos for educational technology (EdTech) and plan to start vlogging about teaching soon!
Thank you to all my subscribers and kind comments. Please consider subscribing if you have not!

ok actually it is perfect! and i love the way you talk, i'm sure you're also a perfect teacher 😍
This reminds of the very hungry caterpillar book by Eric Carle.🐛📕
Narrator: The monarch caterpillar built a small house called a cocoon around himself. He stayed inside for more than 2 weeks. Then he nibbled a hole into the cocoon, pushed his way out. He was a beautiful butterfly.🐛🦋
I’m interested on experiencing on what a monarch caterpillar’s face looks like when it sheds its skin.🐛
Thank you for speaking about this. What happened to Dr. Rosalind Franklin is an injustice that one day needs to be corrected
Finally! This has vexed me for years. This is a game changer! Thank you!
I’m a dental student, and I’m planning on specializing in forensic odontology after I get my bachelor’s. Thank you for this, it’s really informative.
EXO mentioned
Love the memes
hello mam kindly explain the cell junctions
I actually like monarch caterpillars more than monarch butterflies because I like how creepier they look than monarch butterflies.🐛🦋
I actually like monarch caterpillars more than monarch butterflies because I like how monarch caterpillars look more new than monarch butterflies.🐛🦋
Thanks for posting, I somehow managed to miss all of mine doing this, so it's really interesting to get to see!
very helpful, thanks you so much.
The video is fading at the end,, however, you are a good tutor...I like your style..
I like how butterflies are being caterpillars as baby butterflies 🦋
From what I understand Rosalind was working under Maurice Wilkins but was shunted into a laboratory in the basement of Kings College with her student Raymond Gosling. Rosalind was already working with Francis Crick & James Watson and was friends with Crick's French wife Odell. Although Rosalind was out when Crick & Watson visited Kings College Wilkins the others did show them the photograph. Otherwise Rosalind would have worked out the structure of DNA. As it was she felt unappreciated as a woman scientist in the UK as opposed to France where she was using her techniques on coal. She was in the process of moving to the U.S. when she was tragically diagnosed with the cancer. Meanwhile it was James Watson who wrote disparagingly of Rosalind in one of his books: but bear in mind he nearly lost his Nobel Prize for using genetics to prove his racists views.
Hi, i´m a biology teacher and i´m going to make this activity with my students. Can you please send me the protocol? thanks
thanks for the help i got a exam tommarow and i hope this helps
I have been accused of biting a police officer and the bit mark looks like two fang punctures
This has helped me a lot but I am still a bit confused. I have tried it out but I must be missing something. I just wish I could do presentations for my class like your youtube videos. I just watched your Nervous system videos 1 and 2 and trying to figure out how you did that. Pretty cool. Any advice for me? I teach EMTs, Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics.
I'm so glad that my videos have been helpful! I have been too busy to make and post more videos recently. When I do make videos, I make a PowerPoint, then record me teaching it with ScreenFlow (on my Mac), use an external mic for better sound, and use a Wacom pen tablet to write. There are many other ways to do the same thing nowadays that may be cheaper or free. You honestly just have to research a little. I hope you can figure something out. Best of luck!
I love your videos. I would love to be able to teach with technology like this. I teach EMTs and AEMTs and Paramedics. To integrate like this would be so cool. Right now I am trying to figure out Google Meet. I am used to using Adobe Connect so there is a big curve to learn.
Hi Marlana. Just want to say thank you for this - it was very helpful for me and saved me a lot of time finding this solution:) Kind regards from Denmark. Emil
Thank you! It's a bit outdated now, but I'm glad it helped!
Do you mind emailing the write up for this lab?
If you send me your email, I can send it.
Are negatively charged amino acids same as basic
What's the 21st amino acid
Thank you so much!!
❤❤ Thank you
That is amazing that woman made big impact to it. (I am not feminist:))
Thank you. Realy helpful
Great video!
This is powerful madam keep up with the good work 👏👏
Wish I had you in college premed
Thank you
Hello lady, How can I contact you please? I need a coordinator in my hoped forensic odontology trip by the next year
Good blessed you sis ❤
thank you so much this video is amazing. when my biology professor at community college explained this in class, I didn't understand anything but now I do thanks to you.
Is it possible to have the lab report form?
👀 believe in smart work instead of hard work....
Surprisingly good 🤨🤔
Thank you so much!
Incredible.
Thank you.
Классно проектировщики упаковали внутренности человеку , что даже всё работает не один десяток лет ....
I’m sorry, but this account is not accurate because they didn’t have a lightbulb moment when the image was shown. They actually had to wait until they got the data that she freely gave to her supervisor, and was given to them from their supervisor, so nothing was stolen and your narrative is just riddled with inconsistencies and out and out falsehoods.
Madam , I stumbled across your channel by mistake and I just want to use this comment to say thank you 🙏, A in biology I am really grateful.may God continue blessing you .
You deserve more recognition, you're so good at this science stuff.
I am taking a bio class that is not your class, however, this video was super helpful. It made understanding this chapter about chemistry and organic molecules so much easier.
What were the solutions you used? Like to use this with my students.
Water, 25-30% corn syrup and 100% corn syrup
