פרץ אליהו, מלחין של המוזיקה הקונצרטנטית, נגן טאר, מוזיקולוג, מורה ואחד מאבות המוזיקה הקלאסית מן המזרח בישראל.
לאורך השנים פרץ אליהו זכה בפרסים רבים וביניהם: פרס לקומפוזיטורים מטעם ראש הממשלה (2008), פרס אקו"ם לפרסום היצירה בתחום מוזיקה קונצרטנטית (2013), קיבל קרן יהושע רבינוביץ' (2006), קרן תרבות אמריקה ישראל (1990) ועוד
