Invest In Yourself for The Rest of Your Life
This is so me 😭😭why am I like this. I left my corporate job in three weeks
If you dont know how to keep a stable life, you are not a man. Adult male maybe.
✊🏾
I think I should win an award for most jobs ever quit in a lifetime lol...its not funny but i have literally quit over 60 jobs...i cant last no longer than 3 months! At about the 2 months mark i can feel it coming on..i start to feel that burnout, and hatred! After covid i start temping at different dental offices..i would only work 2 days a week. Thqts the only time in my life i worked a job for 1yr bc i had so many days to rest my mind during the week before another shift...they only way i can work for a company is if i work PRN (as needed) bc going FULL TIME is a hell no for me..i have to make my own schedule and work when i want to. Especially now that i have a 1yr old. I spend so much time with her and i love it
Thank you for watching! Summer is a season of growth and hard work. What have you been working on?
Your a nomad brother... Take the movie groundhogs day for example.. people do the same thing every day and get burnt out. The world is to big and life is too short to stay in one place. I used to just take any job and hate it after months of working there because it feels like ur a robot. The same thing over and over again. You can't evolve doing the same thing over an over. I wanna be a therapist or councilor or a life coach someone who just helps people...builds them up. Im doing a job right now where im not making alot of money. But it takes care of me. I definitely went through this tho
Thanks so much for this video and sharing your journey. I work in tech and I'm struggling with the same thing where I keep quitting jobs and getting a new job for money. I finally got a job where the workload is way more than I can handle for not that much more pay. Its eating into other aspects of my life that I care about. This tough situation is making me re-evaluate my goals and myself. Loved the first point, just realizing...why WAS I passed for promotion, what can i do. I needed to work on what I lacked
For me personally it’s never the job it’s always the people. I can work my ass off in a drama free environment.
Man I just dnt like working I’m tryna find my passion while im working a job I don’t even like
What happens to me is when I'm in a job no matter how wonderful or how much I love the job after about 6-9 mos. in, I feel like I'm trapped in an elevator without air. I get panic attacks and can't go or even step outside of my door. I've tried medication, denial, prayer, decreeing and declaring, therapy, goal setting and focusing on those goals such as a new car, saving for a house etc.
same :(

I basically hate myself rn I'm 24, I've never had a job before (one of my biggest insecurities in life) and last week on july 17 was my first day as an intern at a bank. I only have a degree in linguistics, but they said my background doesn't really matter if I'm willing to learn. The director said she sees a potential in me (which terrified me, bc it made me guilty of feeling like I'll fail her if i quit) Spoiler. It's been 3 days of my internship and i already want to quit but there's so many things to take into account like: This is my first job. What if noone else will hire me afterwards if they see that i quit without even being there a month What if me feeling miserable and inadequate first week is fine and I'll manage to become like other employees (so far they won't let me work with clients obviously, i only watch and it terrifies me... because in banking you have to be detached from your emotional side and also be good at sales (I feel like i can't do it) plus my lack of knowledge in economics/banking/maths Sorry, i don't even have an idea what to do. ALSO important info is that i want to pursue acting at least as a hobby, i don't flatter myself believing i could achieve anything, but it's the only thing i have passion for. I found a year course already. But to attend it I definitely will have to quit this job since the schedules clash. My only question is.. should I quit my internship already after a week of trying or finish a whole month to have at least something more substantial in my resume to search for a new entry level job???
@@maryrosenbergr7570 Why are you wanting to quit?
Have you experienced divine timing your in your life?
🤯
I truly don't know what I want in life. Quit so many jobs and having to feel like a failure, leaves me in question as to what can I really do? All that's left is USPS jobs where you break your back & spend more time at the job than your home. It hurts. I don't know anymore.

Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
I quit my 9-5 last year in Nov. I was there 5 1/2 years. I L0VED my position. Hated the work place drama. Finally reached a boiling point and rage quit. I found a new 9-5 two weeks later that I thought was everything I wanted. But then the rug got pulled out from under me when my boss turned into a psycho overnight saying me and the other new girl kept f*cking up and would not be making it past our 90 days in that position. Im not confrontational so I kinda just gave up and quit cuz I couldnt handle it. Now Im at another new 9-5 and I f*cking hate it. Ppl are hostile and the job is just BORING. I sit all day on my phone cuz business is so slow. I just put my 2 weeks in. Idk what Im doing with my life. Idk where Im going to be soon. And I am dealing with a new health issue that's preventing me from getting anything but a desk job. Im glad Im not alone. But I wish I knew all the commenters in person instead of just seeing the struggle online lol. We need to make a support group.

26 here and relatives calling me a man-child for quitting my engineering job that my relatives expecting to build a house for them. I don’t not like engineering at all because it just doesn’t suit me at all. I just want to find myself of what I really want in life and not to get pressured by societal standards.
@@carltasticdrew9633 Thank you for sharing. By your response it seems like you know what you want, now just take the steps to go after it. Others outside of ourselves may not realize this but with the right mindset and intentions, doing what’s best for ourselves is what’s best for everyone else. You got this!!
@@Beyondthesurfacewithmichael thanks bro. Rn I’m still struggling to stay away from societal standards and going my own way but hopefully this works. I’m just tired of lying to myself and having difficulty to open up to my parents about what I want. You too brother, hope you find or create your calling.
@@carltasticdrew9633 If I may offer some advice. Watch what you say to yourself, "remove HOPEFULLY and replace with "IT WILL WORK!" It's hard to go left when everyone is saying you should go right, but your body will always communicate your best interest. Right now your heart is telling you what's right for you, the question is will you listen to it or will you ignore it to please others that may want the best for you, but won't understand what YOU want for you.

Did you get some value from the video?
YES! 🙌🏼💯 Something I’m currently working on… establishing an efficient morning routine. First day today 😅 Felt good! Would be cool to hear your Nighttime routine, too!
What did your morning routine consist of? My nighttime routine isn’t nearly as laid out as my morning routine. I may journal again or read but mostly I’m working on content or literally binge watching a show to turn my brain off😂

Problem is I dont know what type of job I want. How do I figure that out?
That’s a great question and I’m going to explain this in a new video on this topic. The short version is start with the end in mind. What kind of lifestyle do you want, then figure out how much money that lifestyle will require, then find a career, opportunity that will support that.
We are the same person. Mortgage loans and all.
😂 sounds like we have similar interest in what we want from these types of careers I.e money and choices
I’m in the same boat. In the industry I work it’s hard to find a company that’s going to fit me and help me grow as well. A lot of these companies don’t offer good enough incentives to make you want to work for them long term. You have to be there an entire YEAR before you even get 5 days PTO like Jeez how draining. Not to mention starting over from job to job, you never really get to grow and build up some PTO time!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Are you open to leaving that particular industry? Are you open to new ideas that could ultimately get you the results you’re looking for?
Thank you for sharing this journey! It’s exciting for me to look into something when it comes up in my life from multiple sources as well. I also believe there is something there for me to investigate and learn from. I look forward to see what you find. 🙏🏼 I’m sure it’ll bless many.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It’s fun to investigate the bread crumbs to see where they lead 😂. Blessings to you
@@Beyondthesurfacewithmichael Yes! To you as well 🤍
I understand u completely:(, i started working in 2022 and ever since then i have had 5 jobs, nothing seems worth it... I am trying my best to study and earn certifications but it just seems like not worth it at all
With little work experience it may be a good idea to try lots of things and not get fixated on finding the “one” job you need to stick with, you know. What are you in to? What are your hobbies, likes? These answer could lead you towards careers that may interest you.
Is that psychology of selling i can see jn the background
Yes sir

I can definitely relate to all those barriers… but find encouragement in knowing I’m not the only one and that we can take steps to break them all. Thank you for sharing and for the tips to improve!
@@ClaudiaAndreaTV I find solidarity as well in knowing that I'm not the only one going through the seasons of life. That we can all uplift and learn from each other.
Nah frfr , this year & all last yr after I got fired ‘22 , it just went down or jobs not hiring as fast but the one I’m at now is great pay , I wish it was morning , but 2 new interviews this week and next , really feel I’ll get the next week interview job , would like to keep this one as well for some months but idk , my energy levels is down a lot , compared to this time last year , I’m def chasing money
Chasing money is defiantly a nasty habit. I’ve gone job to job chasing more pay and typically I still end up hating the job because it’s not truly what I want to do. Write out what kind of lifestyle you want to have, then figure out how much that lifestyle will cost, then lastly find an opportunity that will help you get there. Does that make sense?
I’m glad I found this video, I’m currently going through this and it’s exhausting.
Shay, I’m so glad you found value in this video. Continue to learn more about yourself, what you want in life, your goals, values, beliefs. This will help guide on your journey❤️ Your one step closer to finding your way. Blessings to you
