@@Junction_Shorts It depends on what the executives decide to do with the train. It varies on when and where it travels on the CSX network and each time I saw it, I did have advanced notice but no more than a few days. I filmed this on february 29 of this year and got six videos shots of it in as many places. I also saw it in august 2022, so it can be sporadic. If you're interested in the videos I took of it, I got all but a failed (and deleted) shots of it posted on this channel already.

@@JustinsRailfanning Not to sure on that yet. But a new switch has been installed right next to it to allow trains to get into the yard faster. It was sitting there by the old switch for weeks before the signal was installed. I'll have to double check with @SEABOARDSYSTEMfan about it. He's usually more in the know about what's going on with the bowline than I am.

Where is this new signal located?

@@dexterdog62 Just because I got excited at a big surprise doesn't mean I'm a foamer. And who's to say that you wouldn't get that excited about a big surprise. I heard this off in the distance and was just expecting a random catch of a freight that would make a nice addition to my channel's videos. Though I must admit that with this unit just unveiled at Waycross the other day, I was a bit hopeful that it would be on this train and I hit the railfan jackpot. How could I not get happy and give praise to the Lord? He's been so good to me. The closest I've ever been to foamer status was being awestruck at seeing the Western and Atlantic "General" in person. I was as though I had just seen the Lord Jesus walked into the room. Btw, I just checked out your channel, and that video with the duckling is so cute.

@@Enter_gamemode12 No. I was riding the Missionary Ridge Local that runs the line where the music video for the song was filmed. Also, I have taken the way of salvation described in the Bible, so I gave up my Long Black Train ticket years ago. ("...if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness:; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10)

@@peted5217 The CSX bowline has undergone on and off upgrades for the past few years. The inspection train was likely checking on making sure everything was good and up to regulation.

@@genemanno1533 I think it was intended for both kids and adults. I heard the promoters of the event (Big Bend Model Railroad Association) talking a few years ago about how they hope it gets the kids in the hobby as well as helping adults get interested as well. The prices on most of the things there ranged from cheap ($3 for old freight cars and cabooses) to decent ($20-70 for locomotives in varying condition). Some things were expensive though. I had found one of the things I was looking for, a CSX Dash 8; but it's price was $150, which was nearly half my budget, so I didn't get it. But I still got some things I was looking for. Also, just about all scales were there. Most of the layouts were N and HO scale, but there was also a z scale, a T120, and, of course, the Lionel 3 rail O scale. If you're interested and if you can, come on by for next year's event. It every fourth weekend in june at the North Florida Fairgrounds in Tallahassee.
