That thing is extremely impressive! It looks like a factory built. Y'all done an incredible job at the quality and attention to detail. That's definitely something to be quite proud of!
I would’ve loved to see how you framed the dovetail. I’ve got a gooseneck my grandpa built a long time ago and it’s frame is c channel but I’m wanting to put a 4 foot dovetail onto it so that it can have cars and stuff loaded onto it. Not really sure how to brace it once I weld a 4ft c channel angled down
Nice build. Your trailer is an 18,000 pound GVW trailer though. If you have two 7k axles most companies also include the hitch load capacity as part of the GVW rating. The standard for a gooseneck trailer is a 4k hitch load. Nice build. The I beams are heavy enough for a 24k GVW trailer
I need a lowprofile quad axle singles about 45ft long deck or even 50ft. Plan on turning 27ft to 33ft of the deck and over the neck into a tiny home/RV with the back able to carry my 1/2 trail/toy truck while my 1 ton pulls it all. Also have a 3ft deep section of the house on the back infront of the truck that carries all my tools and folds up to form a canopy. It be a heavy beast, but it be nice.
I want a 53' long gooseneck trailer for hotspot trucking. What I beans feet long would I need. Would it be cheaper to buy or built. Because I just go with the cheaper option.
madbear3512 it cheaper to purchase a factory made trailer to meet your needs. The manufacturer will always get a better price on the steal since they buy in bulk and not just enough for one trailer.
nothing but putting a travel trailer on a gooseneck trailer will make it right for a gooseneck hitch. not one adapter out there is good. they all, including the goosebox will damage rv frames unless its an extremely light one that. its the pushing and pulling that kills them with the added leverage of a gooseneck adapter. hell the frame around the pin box on all 5th wheel trailers is thinner and smaller than the metal used on the ramps for my gooseneck. they are made to be pulled with a 5th wheel hitch. in the long run it will be far less expensive to just use the right hitch. i transport RV and hot shot for a living. there is a reason rv manufacturers void warranties with these adapters and my commercial insurance will not cover it, if one is used.
i have a home made one just as nice as his, bright yellow, never in the 5 years of me owning it has it had that on it. ive heard this before that it is needed but never been stopped for it, and always go thru cmv stations without any issue?
How did you decide on 19" I beam? I'm considering building one if I can't find something used, I'd like to avoid extra weight to increase hauling capacity, I have a 10k tilt that is much smaller.
Daniel, Dang fine job there! Definitely looks professionally made, you obviously have a keen eye for detail & are a craftsman. From one Georgia boy to another- Great work! How bout them Dawgs?
so I'm going to build a gooseneck on my implement trailer, it is a tilt pintle hitch trailer about 16ft deck to pull behind a dump truck or whatever, I haul a little track loader that is bout 9ton. My question is how big should I go with to build the gooseneck? I believe the frame is 12''x4''
yeah, kinda what I was thinking. With as heavy as the frame is built it oughta have 3 axles under it to get more usable payload out of the whole setup.
How much does it weigh? I built a gooseneck that weighed over 8,000 lbs and the tag office in GA said homemade cant be more than 2 000lbs Nice work 🎉
Nice trailer. Im going to build one myself. Nice work 👍
Great job that looks store bought maybe you should make a couple more and sell them
Very Nice I'm a welder and fabricator and I am amazed looks store bought
Thanks
Nice looking trailer but it wouldn't pass inspection here without fenders ...
Looks great can you send me blue prints ?
Nice job.
Great work!
Looks heavy duty, the deck height is awfully tall though.
I actually am going to start building a trailer tomorrow, and I might just buy a gun too now. I had a 44mag years ago

Sjjdd
How’s the stabiliTY
You're axles are back too far
No, they aren't.
Wow 12" I beams ? That's heavy duty. Maybe you should add another axel ? Trailer looks beautiful. Nice job.
Nice build. But could be too tall for some applications
Nice work l need to get my trailer a gooseneck I also subscribed Subscribed back 👍
Nice build, good job

Dan you are a great guy. Builds great things. Love this video. Always Your Friend: Ricky
Did you make a wire harness? And can you buy them?
I wired it using multiconductor tray cable.
Very nice done!! 👌👌 thank you for sharing, i'm impressed.

How long did it take you to build it?
And these harrows are made for Indian Tractor Mahindra Arjun.
Looks good! Great way to honor your Dad.
Nice trailer!!

looks real nice.
could you help us convert a travel trailer?

I'll try to help you if I can.
@@nathan00campbell thank you for the response. Makes sense
you need some dirt on that truck and trailer
Very nice job!
Man dude very sweet! It looks like a manufactured trailer.
nice work wow
Need to have dot reflective striping down the sides.
i have a home made one just as nice as his, bright yellow, never in the 5 years of me owning it has it had that on it. ive heard this before that it is needed but never been stopped for it, and always go thru cmv stations without any issue?
Great looking trailer. Questions- How heavy is it empty If you don’t mind, how much do you have in it $$$$ Do you build for others as well?
I have around $3500.00 in it
Can anyone point me to a vidie of how they make there goose neck the trailer part is easy it's the goose neck that has me stuped
How did you decide on 19" I beam? I'm considering building one if I can't find something used, I'd like to avoid extra weight to increase hauling capacity, I have a 10k tilt that is much smaller.
I think I may have misunderstood, 12" x 19lb
Good looking trailer, the I-beam and channel is so much nicer for rust in the long term.
Excellent design and well thought out to meet your exact needs. Factory made trailers always compromise on something.
Damn good looking! would have done dually axles myself but hey good work.
That frame size sure look like itd handle 20k
What brand is the air gate on your F350, and how much did it cost?
Your trailer look good good kob
Great job, Im thinking to build me one too, I’m about to start a small farm.
It a great..can't believe you built it
Daniel, Dang fine job there! Definitely looks professionally made, you obviously have a keen eye for detail & are a craftsman. From one Georgia boy to another- Great work! How bout them Dawgs?
Beautiful job! Perfect ramps. Especially well balanced ramps.

2x7 =14 you need to subtract for the trailer wheight

I'm thinking of building a gooseneck but with a 5th wheel plate instead of gooseneck to pull cars. What tubing would be best?
Tip use a old 5th wheel camper frame
