Shaw was called to take care of the case containing the codes but one guy was escaped with the case. Control ordered cold-bloodily those 2 CIA agents to close the issue and themselves would be shut up as well. That is why John can't go back to save Jessica and the story between Reese, Finch, and Shaw was intermediated since then.
I've watched this series twice and I'm ready for another round. It's amazing how accurate this show is even to present day (2021) with its political subplots and obviously the technological aspect

you forgot when Daniel Casey copied the Machine's code on a laptop to which then Finch adapted the code into a virus, just before Control pulled the plug on Reese and Stanton on Ordos, China. Thought you should know
To be perfectly, brutally honest with you John Reese is a great operative, but so is Shaw, and it looks like you have her as a tag along! NO WAY! Shaw is EQUAL! to Reese! without that character I wouldn't have seen POI!! PLEASE! RESPECT Shaw more!

I rewatched this series for a third time with my dad, and even then I was able to catch things I did t the first two times This show is so good

Shaw should have been shown much sooner. As a young girl after the accident that killed her father. Other than that this was spot on.

This was such a good series. Then it took a left turn, got lost in the weeds and disappeared. Still missing it.
