I got one from 2019, great bike, Very ineffective suspensions but otherwise good bike for almost everithing, yours sounds like modified exshaut...i'm thinking about change it to the new DR400 S....

I deffo recomend standing up, can shift your weight constantly making the bike more agile and keeping traction, can go way faster , an if you hit something loose or get kicked off course by a rock or have the front tyre slip, you can just react to it and counter it instantly, when you are sat down your dead weight actually becomes a problem as the suspension just chucks you off balance 👍🏻
