The teak interior of my boat needed a facelift. I decided to go ahead and renovate/redecorate it, even though I had no previous experience in doing this. In this video you can watch the process.

Which side of the turbo to exhaust manifold does the trubo gasket go? There is a smooth side and the side with raised areas.
I wish I remembered, i THINK the raised side goes into the turbo. But you should double check.

I payed around 10.000,- NOK for a refurbished turbo from a swedish online shop. Here in Norway it often costs double that.

It all looked better than before. It's an old boat so it's ok if it doesn't look perfect. That just gives it charm.
What a shame that such a glorious name in the Scandinavian boating industry has been destroyed by the Sri Lankan branch of Viksund Holdings, i.e Viksund Asia. It is managed by Jostein Viksund, a crook and a shady “businessman”, whose only claim to fame is being the son of the great Erling Viksund (Senior), a reputation he has squandered by repeatedly cheating people internationally. I purchased a boat with an engine, a Silvercraft 700, from them in Sri Lanka and had to return it after spending PILES OF MONEY on the engine as well. They accepted responsibility (in words only of course), promised to pay me back a fraction of what I spent exactly 3 years ago and I STILL haven’t seen a penny!!! They basically stole my boat which I had sent to their yard and they resold it, but they are not getting away with it as this will ruin what is left of their so-called “reputation” which is in tatters anyway (in Sri Lanka at least, but awareness is spreading all over the world) as they have played the same tricks with other clients. I obviously have ALL necessary proofs of what I am writing therefore I am using my real name without any kind of fear as they would not have the courage to sue me. My advice is to KEEP AWAY from Jostein Viksund if you care for your hard earned cash.
Since this is a presentation video for a used boat that is for sale, I want to point out that the boat in this video has nothing to do with your story, and that the owner of this boat has zero connection to the man or the company that you are refering to. Sorry to hear your story, though.
@@boatingabout3838 you're perfectly right my friend and i am aware of that. i also was caught in two minds whether to post this here and in lots of other places, but it is the least i can do for the moment to get back at this bunch of disgraceful thieves....at least destroy their "reputation". thanks for the comment and for the understanding.
