How to Euthanize a fish? EUTHANASIA
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.8 месяцев назад
I had a feeling that I would not be able to avoid this topic some day. It's something everyone in the hobby experiences, but it's kind of taboo to talk about it. It's a bit of a strange situation - we've all done it, but it's still not comfortable to talk about. Let's break the silence and talk about euthanasia. It's definitely the most frustrating part of the hobby, but it's part of the hobby....

UV STERILIZER. WHAT DOES IT DO? IS IT WORTH IT?

FULL TANK episode about UV sterilizers or UV filters. Any aquarium equipment is a bit of an investment and the dilemma is, is it worth it? What is UV sterilizer for? What do they even do? How to tell if you need one in your fish tank? Situations that indicate that your aquarium needs a little help or that the benefits of a UV sterilizer are overrated?UV STERILIZER. WHAT DOES IT DO? If you have ever thought that maybe there is too much equipment in your tank, maybe it is time to think about an inline diffuser, which will help you to eliminate one highly visible device out of your sight - a regular diffuser and a bonus advantage comes with this improvement - less bubbles. KILLER PEA, The Menace of the Killer Pea
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.10 месяцев назад
This episode is dedicated to pea puffer. It is the smallest puffer fish in the world, growing only to 2 centimeters long. But don't be fooled by their cute looks. They are called pea killers for a completely objective reason and the cute appearance of the pea puffer is deceptive and behind it hides a fierce predator. #aquarium #aquariumfish #fishtanklifestyle #aquariumhobby #fishtank #plantedaq...

TOP 10 TIPS FOR BEGINNERS AND HOBBY CHANGING ADVICE.
I put my diffuser in the hanging polishing box.
Funny everyone installs this one upside down lol. Guess it doesn't matter. 🙃
Indeed. I did the same previously. It is a game changer after I flipped it.
What did you installed on filter hose? Its pressure pump?
I heard that it can save some of co2 as well. Is that true?
Hi, great video and very informative. I have a "problem" with this filter because in my opinion it is too noisy. The fact is that I have not found any video online where you can hear the noise and compare it with mine. For this reason I sent you an email with the video of my filter to ask you if it is the same noise as yours. Unfortunately I have not received a response and maybe the email went to spam. I would like to have your opinion. Thanks and greetings from Italy. Francesco
Thank you. I'm going to add one today and this content helps me know just how to proceed.
I like your style :)) Thanks for the vids
Hello. How to install it on the fluval 7 series hose? The plastic is not like yours. Thanks
@Click771.• I got my JBJ hose from my LFS .....I needed 16mm.x..22mm which is going to replace that black ribbed hose.😊. Fluval 107 canister, UNS MINI regulator , QANVEE M1 atomizer and DYMAX Crystal Lily pipe on my UNS 90B Male Candy Koi Betta and 2 many cherry shrimp to count but probably 200 +
Awesome 👏🏻
This dude sounds like Christopher Walken.
Thanks for the compliment :)
Great video!!
Sir, what is the tank water volume?
120L
if i set up inline diffusser in canister filter's outflow pipe then will the canister filter's outflow will decrease??? And if it decrease the how much will it decrease ?
Yes, it will decrease about 10-15%
@@FULLTANK-wh7eeWill it decrease the water flow all the time or when the CO2 is being used ???
@pinkidutta3691 all the time, because it’s on the outlet and filters are running 24/7
@@FULLTANK-wh7ee But when CO2 is off at that point of time there is no air available in the filter outlet pipe so how can the water flow decrease???
@pinkidutta3691 diffuser creates additional angle so it slows the flow a bit.
Awesome ❤❤❤
clove oil
I'm newer in the hobby I have nano fish so far every sick fish my cpo crayfish have caught and have eatin and it was brutal as they're still alive being eatin. I think circle of life but won't say when it happens now that I know I rather turn a blind eye. Humane since could occur in the wild right? Or better I kill it with your method first. I have to think it's more justice to still let the cpos and shrimps eat it versus just tossing it after right. I would love to hear another's view
lol
You have a killer in the tank
Clove oil works well for a couple of reasons, the first is that it is an anesthetic, it numbs the nerves, the second is the speed at which it kills if dosed right, within a few seconds... I have used it a couple of times and both times it worked within 5 seconds.... That said the fish in this video looked like it had a bad bacterial infection, probably started as fin rot, stress can be a trigger and it isn't always contagious. I would have pulled the fish and medicated it a day or 2 before this video was made, it went untreated too long. Usually once it hits the body and the body starts loosing color it is to far gone to treat. I stopped keeping A.C.'s years ago as they seem to be bad about getting it, at least for me they were. I wasn't ever able to get the balance of fish right so that they didn't single one out to harass once in a while causing stress, then infection. My brother however rarely had issues with his before he went to saltwater fish.
Flush. That easy.
😢 I used clove oil, it seems more humane than whacking it. ❤
I have used clove oil several times. I pour 3 drops of it and well mixed in 50 milliliters of water and slowly add it into the container with the fish. I wait 10 minutes and repeat. And so on until the fish falls asleep. Then I add a double dose and the fish overdoses and never wakes up again. Sad but sometimes it's the only solution.
with aquariums there comes a lot of trial and error. but what i am about to talk about is a mistake no one needs to endure. i was cleaning my tank once and there was a snail in my way, usually if you just take a net and try to scoop them up that works but it didn't on this one big snail and it wasn't budging, so i went to pick it up to try to scare it into its shell but when i did i heard and felt a small tearing sound, i immediately let go and finished with the clean up with him there, i couldn't get the sound out of my head, and i thought he would be okay but he died 2 days later and only now i can imagine how painful it must have been. this isnt really on the topic of this VERY useful video but i just wanted to spread the word, be carful, be very carful when handling life because it is so so delicate.
I’ve only had to do this once. I still get sad about it to this day
Jau apie metus turiu 2, keista, kai kiti sako, kad jos slapstosi, nes maniškės visada pasikabinę ant paviršinių augalų, nors būtų kur pasislėpti, jeigu norėtų :) jeigu trumpam dingsta iš akiračio, tai kai neriasi :)
Išties labai įdomus padaras. Maniškį nuoširdžiai buvau pamiršęs, nes akvariume išties labai daug potecialių slėptuvių. Turbūt nėra poreikio arba nemato reikalo “viešintis” 😀 A very interesting creature indeed. I had honestly forgotten about him, because there is a lot of potential hiding places in the aquarium. Probably he has no need or simply no reason to "hang out" 😀
Thanks from Russia! Great job!
Great video! Loved watching it and the tank itself looks so good as well!!! Really enjoyed your background music choises ❤️
Thank you so much! Please check other FULL TANK videos! I hope You will enjoy them as well and maybe you might find them worth sharing with your mates 😉🙏

Great video! Keep it up

Hello, it’s dancing in your aquarium ! What is this plant in the foreground with relief on the leaves ? It is astonishing, prehistoric !
We call them murder beans
Yes, they are a bit about murder :)
I have a single pea puffer in a 37 l and in 64 l with Neocardinia shrimps and with Neoheterandria elegans fish (very tiny livebearers). I've never seen puffers attack adult fish or shrimps. I hope they hunt down some fry (cause that my intention was), but I've only witnessed it couple of times. But I'm certain of one thing - if something is not moving pea puffers do not consider it to be food.
note to self dont get pea puffers with any other fish
I’m sure they would get along with any bigger and more active neigbors.
Mine live alone, I will keep it that way!
Hi great video thanks! What about the very bottom sponge? It's a while since put it together but I assume its partly holding the bio-media in place?
Thanks mate! Thats rigth
Fascinating discourse ... poetically delivered. "Better to be happy than perfect." Indeed :)
Thank you! It's nice to hear that some thoughts resonate :)
The Fish and plants that flourish, may not be the first choice, or even second choice, but nature will guide you to where she wants you to go :)
I completely agree, let's not think that we are stronger than nature :)
Preach.
Cheers from my fish room in Chicago! delighted to find and subscribe to your channel. I am considering a puffer tank similar to yours. Please visit my fish room and let's grow our channels together!
Thank you and welcome to the FULL TANK, mate!

Sveiki, Andriau :) Thanks a lot!
I appreciate this outlook. It is how I approach my fish keeping, and my self-care. Looking forward to more. Subscribed.
Thank you, Jon! 🤝
Would you consider putting your bucket on wheels - will make it easier to fill up next to the tap and you can use it to drain water from tanks too
It’s one of the options I had, but I quess I should try pump in the tank and oposit end in the WC sink. That should work ;)
put a shut off valve at the end of your hose. So you dont have to walk back to turn on and off.
Thats a good idea ;) Thanks!
@@FULLTANK-wh7ee Yeah, make yourself a filler neck with PVC that you can hang on the tank and use a ball valve to shutoff. Hope that helps, thats what I do.
Great videos, like your tanks
