The Ejectify app I mentioned is $3 USD to cover his Apple Developer Program fee, but if you go back to the link in my video for that app and click on the GitHub link, you can download the source code and compile it with Xcode (which is free to download from Apple). It will take time and extra steps, but if you want to save money, this is the best way to do it.

Yep. There are still years-old iOS bugs that have never been fixed and will not be, unfortunately.

The issue is not about Microsoft backing up and storing things on their cloud; it's about OneDrive users who had previously chosen to turn off OneDrive backup to avoid storing their files in Microsoft's cloud. Microsoft secretly re-enabled this option without any notification or warning. For example, on an iPhone, there's an option to back up your phone to iCloud. If I went into iCloud settings and turned that option off, I wouldn't expect or want Apple to turn it back on without asking me or notifying me. This is exactly what Microsoft has done. They started backing up users' personal files to OneDrive without informing them.

Nice! I didn't know about this utility. Thanks for commenting. I will check it out. I have previously used O&O's ShutUp 10++ to disable OneDrive, but Windows 11 will eventually re-enable it.

@@BeYourOwnNerd it's super useful. The tweaks section can easily remove 30 processes at idle. It can disable telemetry, ads, remove edge and onedrive completely. It also has a section to install a lot of free software in one click (ex if you are doing a new setup). I think it can be useful for people that watch your video! I use that together with rufus to create an ISO that automatically set a local account, too. Never heard what you mentioned, I will look into it though.

@@BeYourOwnNerd no problem! That tool is so useful once you start using it. Be sure to also check out "everything" and "everything toolbar" to replace windows search. It can make the index of terabytes of data in seconds and a whole pc search takes like 2s, it's amazing and way faster than searching anything inside a folder by default. Game changer.

@BeYourOwnNerd I use a custom-built desktop that I got from PC Specialist UK. I currently only test on Android, Linux, and Windows, which isn't ideal.

Data isnt erased, the location for the files were removed & they appeared again in the update. E.g if you delete a file on your computer you can still recover it, even after recyle bin, only when the drive is rewitten with 0s is when its fully removed

@@james6017 that's not how it works on iPhones mate. They have file based encryption. Each file has a specific decryption key stored in the secure enclave when a file is deleted the decryption key is obliterated and it should be impossible for that file to come back.

The truth had come out, think about it , if everything from apple was private, ain't know way that it would come back , it's not like google drive bakck up right, the truth is all corporations are legal scammers and steal our data or back it up without us knowing.

Yes, there is a slight chance of that happening. I debated whether to include that step in the video but ultimately decided it was necessary. I wanted to ensure viewers had that option instead of panicking and not knowing what to do, which might lead them instead to call the phone number on their screen and make their situation worse. Additionally, I didn't mention clicking/tapping the power button because it could put their computer to sleep, depending on its configuration. Then when they wake the computer up, the fake virus pop-up would still be on their screen. I appreciate your comment. You're right, unplugging the computer isn't the best method and should be avoided whenever possible.
