I noticed a few things you can change: 1) Try with different frosting, something more liquid, less thick. 2) more of that oil and glitter mixture into the piping bag and 3) a lot less of the frosting into the piping bag. Did you notice that her piping bag was the size of half finger!?

scrape with it perpendicular to the cake, otherwise you're pressing the frosting around, you want to shave off layers, not press it smooth

what if you coloured your frosting to match? there's a frosting on the cake in the video that looks like it'd be tricky to tell when you can see the frosting show through, maybe more of the oil mixture as with a slightly thinner frosting?
