What is the source for the information in this video ?
This is the source for the scientific document: www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Holes-Wormholes-Time-Machines/dp/0750305606 The video is based on sound science, however the theme of this channel is that it adds a extra layer of fiction that revolves around the 'old empire', so the science is real, but the feats of the old empire are not, that is more hypothetical.
No hate, in fact I quite like your ideas here, but your videos are so similar to my video I made that I just can’t concede that it’s a coincidence. I’d like to hear what you think.
complete coincidence, love your work though!
🥰
is this a piper onnx voice?
Infinite Game :)
Amazing work!!!
Thank you Rose!
Bizarre
Genetic structures don't themselves need to be modified to encode insulative properties that change depending on the weather; it can be encoded into the DNA itself. Dogs that grow and shed winter coats for example
How can I get involved in this project, I'm not a scientist but I have rawness
I'm absolutely loving your videos. This idea of discussing the possible feats of high technology that humanity could someday achieve, but discussing them in the past tense via a dialogue between student and teacher. Fantastically entertaining concept, music to my ears. I'm looking forward to seeing all the stuff you come up with in the future!
Thank you for the kind words Tony, I'm really glad you are enjoying the format. If you have any constructive feedback, for example what you like/don't like, what you find engaging or any questions you have, I would really appreciate the feedback as I am in such an early stage of the process.
hidden gem, watching these to sleep each night <3
Watching 👀 from the Philippines 🇵🇭
Dear Viewers, As my channel is so new, I would really appreciate some constructive feedback on this video. What do you like/not like? What engages/disengages you? Do you have any questions about the universe? Does anything not make sense? And anything else you see relevant. Thanks for watching and kind regards, The Lost Civilisation
*Obligatory commenting on another vid to help you with engagement* 1. Your writing is excellent, and it's clear you have a talent for it. 2. The "ancient empire" is discussed far too much for you not to have a separate playlist exclusively for lore depicting it. How did it collapse? Was the collapse external or internal? When did it collapse? Are they rebuilding society or does someone want to use this ancient technology for their own means? Are they learning about it by maintaining it? It could be an interesting turn of events if these are just two maintenance workers, a junior and a senior or soon to be retiree. Is the threat still looming? Is it a recurring natural event or an ancient enemy working in the background? Assuming ancient enemy, are they preparing to defend against this threat by utilizing this civilizations tech? Did the civilization collapse at all? is that just the agreed upon explanation to hide that they're on a world marooned in the cosmos? If it's an unfinished terraformed world a big lie could quell civilization wide unrest. 3. I understand from the first vid I watched that he was selected for his task of studying the ancients but there should be a need for the MC to get in-depth knowledge of so many different topics. Unless he's going to lead the entire organization he really should be specializing in one or two things. Kinda like college. You can solve this by stating he's going to head the org, introducing more characters with different specializations, having it explicitly just be a retelling of a different life from an old man to a bunch of young people, or just have him be a counselr. This is a big plot hole because you'd except a handpicked individual to have cursory knowledge of the subject they're selected for and this guy seems too dumb but also smart. 3. You gotta pick a lane (ed or entertainment) or make the subjects more immediately applicable to the story. For example the geometry vid, if its a guy getting briefed on ancient applied geometry before exploring a tomb and the knowledge is key to solving a puzzle the viewer is immediately engaged as they can try and solve the puzzle before the MC. Otherwise its just a guy lecturing me. Concepts vs application you know? You can precede it or follow up with a more in-depth vid with your sage talking to the viewer about these subjects and how the concepts are used in your story. The subjects are also too in depth for a coffee cup course. 4. You're taking on too much at once. Your story is actually pretty interesting and I can tell you're super eager to share it with us but right now it feels like you're feeling out the concepts as you tell it; sniper vs shotgun. Instead of telling the stories concurrently, I'd focus on one max two topics and write down ideas + theories. I'm hoping for more characters bc I want to see your ideas explored from multiple angles. You can include a link to a word document under your vids too of lore and just random ideas ( for those of us who want to read ahead) 5. Lastly the art you include can be used more effectively. I truly hate to recommend this because I prefer human art, but ai art could really help you here. I'm excited to see where this story goes though for now (unless you directly @ me) I'm just gonna pop in and out. Good luck
Sub comment because I wrote down a lot of stuff too quickly but what I mean about the last point is the art should be more focused on the setting and what the characters are doing than what they're talking about. This is just personal preference so no need to take this as gospel. Anyway I'm working rn so I cant really offer you more than that
This is so helpful, thank you for your kind words, excellent advice and your time. I'll be taking it all on board.
@@JamieMarks-so9ns Quick not do you like subtitles or not?
note*
@the-lost-civilisation I personally love subtitles, but since your character speak pretty clearly and don't mumble theres not a need for them
Good vid. Tough concepts presented in an entertaining way.
Hello Jamie, I really appreciate the feedback, can you watch my other videos and let me know if you have any recommendations such as what do you like/ not like/any other ideas to make the videos more entertaining. Thanks
@the-lost-civilisation sure lol, it gonna be a min though
