Though you have tried to deal with this subject sympathetically, your solution is unrealistic, unscientific and misleading. It isn't always possible for psychotherapy to change a person's sexual orientation, it is not simply a bad habit that can be changed at will. There have been so many men and husband's in decades past when there was less tolerance for homosexuality who tried to hide or change their sexuality by getting married and suppressing their natural desires, but many even after 20-30 years of marriage have either had secret affairs with men or left their wives and children to live openly with their gay partners. So please don't push a false narrative that being gay is simply a BAD HABIT that can be overcome by therapy. So many people who have no desire to feel attracted to the same sex have willingly tried many different methods; medical, psychologica and even religious therapies for hundreds of years to change their sexual orientation but have been unsuccessful. Only a tiny minority achieve success, otherwise those treatments would have been marketed successfully over the world.
