And what's really funny about this Ghost of Yotei controversy, too, is that one of the female characters from Ghost of Tsushima can also be erroneously labeled as woke and inclusive, and that's Tomoe. If I remember correctly, her former master, Sensei Ishikawa, even flat-out calls her his best student to Jin Sakai. But yet, despite this admittance of her skill, I didn't hear any political discourse surrounding her at all. No one said a damn thing about how Tomoe is woke or inclusive, so why the all-of-a-sudden switch-up with Ghost of Yotei's female protagonist? Big deal if she is a skilled and lethal combatant. We already had one with Tomoe - and Lady Masako, for that matter - so their argument of Ghost of Yotei being woke because of this alleged "girl boss" is a bunch of contradictory horseshit.

Bro you trying to find reason where there is none. A lot of these dudes live vicariously through these characters and they cannot do that if the character is female or Black. Nobody ever said back in the day, it's too many white characters in these video games. We just played the game.

If I may, there is an issue with the game being rooted in realism with a woman warrior fighting against men. Its not really the female protagonists but it should make some sense. Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West , Control, Returnal, Last of us 2 all have female protagonist that work well for the time, setting, and realism (they are also not sexualized). Last of Us 1 has a male protagonist and Last of us 2 has a female protagonist. The female protagonist is not the issue. Its the implementation of the female protagonist that is the issue. In this case with Ghost of Tsushima, they could have easily made Jin's grandson learn the "way of the ghost" or something where it could have easily made sense.
