I have a request mate. I didnt bother watching the last two games. Kinda knew Emery wouldnt have an answer to our defensive woes. Are there any interesting or surprising stats from this 4 game losing spell, other than the lack of shots on target/chance creation? For future reference, or from now on can you look at our completed passing sequences in particular? How many times do we make 5, 8, 10+ consecutive passes in our own half and in the oppositions half? I suspect when Konsa and Pau play together at the back, this is at its highest. But i also believe in the opposition half, not many of these completed sequences ever occur in the other teams area/final 18 yards. It would be interesting to see the decline in these successful sequences, once we go a goal down or behind. And can you compare the specific passing numbers when Konsa plays at RB and CB? Aswell as the defensive numbers like blocks, interceptions, tackles, aerial duels won etc. Another set of statistics i think might be interesting is distance covered and pass completion rate per game, of Carlos, Digne and Konsa(when hes at RB). Finally bro. Is Onana providing signs that his £50m price was money well spent. Obviously he has the 2/3 goals in all comps, but anything else that sticks out? UTV Overall i think our defence is too old( age + milege), other than Konsa, Pau, and the two new full backs. I think our attacking midfield is way too young and inexperienced at this level. Particularly Ramsey, Rodgers and JPB. I also believe Duran is way too young and green to hold down a regular starting spot up top, at this stage. And is our holding midfield over the hill(McGinn, Tielemans, Kamara, Barkley, Buendia)? Tielemans and Kamara were both free transfers(lack loyalty to their former clubs, looking for the highest wage). McGinn has done 6/ 7 years in a row at Villa now. Buendia is our number 10, but no urgency to feed him back into the PL squad. Barks has had two seasons of tough spells at Nice + Luton. Then couple these points with the over reliance on Martinez and Ollie at both ends of the pitch(4 years now of regular starts for us, on top of international tournaments). And a couple of leggy attacking full backs in Digne and Cash. Minus the numbers now of Bailey, Doug, Diaby, Moreno and the two loanees from last season (Zaniolo + Lenglet). 45-50 goal contributions in total? If you take into account the amount of assists there was for Watkins from these particular players in the previous campaign. Was a refresh required....yesterday?

And that everybody sums Mings up. A decent defender for 99% of the game but one huge error from him guaranteed almost every game.
