Wil-Rich

Wil-Rich evolved from a small two-man shop making truck hoists to one of the industry leaders in farm tillage equipment. Ed Schleuter, a blacksmith from Lehr, ND, designed and built a truck hoist that could withstand the rigors of modern farming in the 1960s. A group of businessmen from Wahpeton, ND, purchased this small upstart and named it Wil-Rich - from the names of Wilkin and Richland counties, where operations were based.
Since then, Wil-Rich has expanded and refined its product line throughout the years to currently offer a full line of primary and secondary tillage equipment such as cultivators, chisels, rippers, and combination tillage units.
In 2021, the Wil-Rich line of equipment and sister brands Wishek and Concord were purchased by Väderstad AB of Sweden. Väderstad’s colorful history dates back to the early 60s, and has ever since been characterized by an entrepreneurial spirit, the creation of ingenious farm machinery, and a strong drive to rationalize farming methods.

Wil-Rich 483 Chisel Pro | Väderstad
Engineered to loosen soil, bury heavy trash, and properly size clods for a smoother field finish, the Wil-Rich 483 Chisel Pro is the ideal tool for today’s high yielding crops.
Built with 24 in (61 cm) concave razor blades and 1,400 lb (635 kg) trip pressure shanks, the 483 Chisel Pro gives the soil mixing of a ripper and the width of a chisel plow. Because it works at a maximum depth of 10 in (25 cm), the 483 Chisel Pro requires less horsepower than a disc ripper, allowing for wider working widths and more productivity.

It’s a shame that Wil-Rich quit making their Famous Soil Finisher! Wish they would go back to making them again!
You can't run twisted points without throwing a headland and dead land with every pass you must go around and around
You will ridge the crap out of your farm
The music ???
I always wanted to try one of these. We had a smaller chisel with straight cutting blades in front that did awesome over a conventional chisel. It never bunched up in corn stalks and loved it.
how many hp per foot?
😮😬🙇♂️
Good dark rich soil aerated for wheat to regrow even hardier with loosened up soil. The wheat should quickly grow back with the roots still active and thousands of wheat berries in the soil.
🤪 *Promosm*
Looks like it needs another set of lift wheels, rolls side to side too much
A great disc
What size is that cultivator??
It's a good lookin' tool, but I will never understand running it shallower than a turning plow.
In our area running too deep will bring up clay. We just like to run at the very bottom edge of the hard pan. This gives a nice fracture. Running too deep below the hard pan only allows the shank to cut a slit through the ground and you don’t get the fracturing of the hard pan.
@@thewil-richguy9057 Running the point at the bottom of the hard pan makes perfect sense. The 3" wide point vs the 1" ripper shank gives more disruption.
