River Fishing Rig Designed for Strong Currents

In fast-flowing rivers, ground bait tends to get washed away, right?
So, I came up with a rig that keeps the ground bait consistently in line with the hook bait.
Although I couldn't film in extremely strong currents because the camera was getting swept away, I managed to capture the process of catching a carp in a river with a decent flow.

This footage is very educative even if a lot of mistakes were made: - the hook doesn't seem to be sharp enough - the lead should have been on a runing rig, meaning it should have come loose at the first shake of the head - the main line needs to have 0 slack, so the hook sets it's self as the fish strugles. Also the signaling at the tip of the rod is instant this way - the bag needs to have larger holes or to be vacum sealed beforehand - the bait and the lure need to be absolutly identical in order to trick the big ones. Any slight difference and they will eat everything around it, except your lure

Thank you for watching and commenting! When I go mountain stream fishing, I usually switch from treble hooks to single hooks. I don’t like getting snagged on rocks, but even more, I don’t want to cause too much harm to smaller fish.

Yeah I spent the entire day casting.. nothing not a single fish. But to me it's about the time out there 😊 enjoying nature. Tomorrow I'll buy a reel Shimano two speed something like that 😂 I don't even know what it is all I know it's in perfect shape almost new and cheap and yet on eBay it's expensive, I'll get it for $80.

It felt like there weren’t any fish around at all, but when I reviewed the underwater footage, I was surprised. The fish were actually biting multiple times, but I just couldn’t get the hook to set, maybe my rig wasn’t quite right. Let’s keep enjoying fishing together!

Ive had the most success in matching the bait. Corn has really been a hit for me, but i just slap that directly onto the hook. Some people use a hairline

@@extremefishcrossing я думаю, что сырой картофель плохая насадка. Мы варим картошку так чтоб она чуть чуть не доварилась. Тогда она будет давать запах. Рекомендую жёлтый цвет картофеля использовать 😉. Сырой картофель плохо даёт запах, а вот на половину готовый и сваренный картофель даёт лучше запах.
