Dimitri is a legend in his own mind. He is a pro-Putin tankie who promotes a dictator’s war on Ukraine rather than recognize Ukraine’s sovereign rights. Notice this: Russia - and rightly so - insists that Syrian territorial integrity be recognized, which is the position of the US and Canada, and the UN. When it comes to Ukrainian territorial integrity, Russia kills to get Ukrainian land. Dimitri, in all his tankie logic, you watch, will agree that Syrian borders must be protected but agrees with Putin that Ukrainians who protect their borders are enemies and deserve to be slaughtered. You want to know why Brand Dimitri is a failed experiment? Brand Dimitri will go on endlessly about how Canadian freedoms are being curtailed neglecting to say that he is free to say what he likes in Canada while Russian dissidents are killed, jailed, silenced or exiled. He is a right- wing windbag with zero training in international affairs. Audience be warned.

He talks freely about how speech is restricted in Canada while in Russia dissidents are killed, jailed, silenced or are in exile. Friends Dimitri leaps from little podcast to little podcast attempting to build Brand Dimitri, he is far from being a democratic socialist, he supports authoritarian Putin, Maduro in Venezuela and yes he supported Assad in Syria. Progressives have nothing in common with Dimitri who has more in common with the far right than folks who believe in building better democracies.

Concernant le support des quebecois a la Palestine, il y a aussi la celebre emission « Bleu Poudre » qui doublait humoristiquement un discours de Yasser Arafat. Les créateurs des sketch ont mentionné qu’ils admiraient profondément Yasser Arafat et que ces doublages etaient fait pour l’honorer!
