it can not. but when mdvr and phone in same wifi hotspot, you can click the " FIND" button at APP, then it will use local network to live view/ playback / download.

Settings on mdvr works with 1080P AHD NTSC mode camera. Please enter menu - basic - system to change video system and camera type according to cameras specifications. And please also make sure the door of mdvr is locked. Make sure yellow ACC gets power.
